I believe the opposite. Xbox 360 uses a software to muck things and make them have lighting and contrast, but there is a side-effect...there is a lack of depth to the 3-dimensions they are trying to mimic. The PS3, though could use better programming, shows more depth, and overall, down the line...it will surpass the 360.
Lighting and contrast, which if you ever had a photo in photoshop, can make the image better when you play around with it...but it also flattens the depth and mucks around with the original naturaness of the picture. It gets skewed, in short.
