| O&A Board Regular Registered: Oct. 00  | I think that of the 10,000+ posters that are registered, there are only 30-60 logged in members during the show, I find that to be unacceptable, IMHO. So this thread will be part Opak "chat" thread and Gonzostyle "enough is enough" thread. All you newbies that are afraid to post, this is the place to do it. You know the rules, nothing personal, take it to fight club, no spamming websites, etc. Do not start any fights in here, make this your thread to feel comfortable in. VETERANS, PLEASE DO NOT DEFILE THIS THREAD!!!! Let them post in here, if you have any questions, we will try to answer it. So in the words of OPAK, start talking. If your posts are quality, no one cares how many or few of them you have... Just be yourself, go with the flow and try to contribute to the conversations, and you'll be fine. Happy posting.

Don't let it bother you, and the "exclusive club" you speak of doesn't exist, there are two, TWO! types of people on the board, people who get, and people who don't and that's all there is too it. | Psychopath Registered: Feb. 01 | It seems to me that one of the most important things that newbies have to learn is to be able to handle being in the barrell without freaking out? The vets seem to be in it most often and for the longest periods of time. Newbies if someone tools on you, just take it... don't run away scared. There's nothing anyone can really do to you after all, it's just a computer. Post away!! | ||||

Ths is a message board about a radio show I enjoy listening too. I have a life that doesn't revolve around this place. If I just relax & think, nothing bad will happen. And even if it does, my world isn't crushed. This isn't a schoolyard of bullies waiting to steal my lunch money." Anyway, my point it. | Psychopath Registered: Oct. 00 | Exactly Corpse. Let me tell ya thast exactly what I did. I didnt get it at first and was posting whatever I wanted in whatever forum. Instead of getting real replies i got tooled on. I got mad and lashed out. That led to being Banned. Since then Ive had a few run ins with some people pissed a few mods off and was almost banned again. I now am reformed and Have learned the hard way how this works. Dont learn like I did. Thats why I say if ya need help call on me I have been through it all. | ||||

| O&A Board Veteran Registered: Oct. 00 | Ah, Toadie and all the rest of you, never fear, there's a rumor about a new "mentoring" program. It isn't immunity, but it will give you some support. Corpse is right, you either get it and enjoy the Board, or you don't get it, and get your feelings hurt. This Board is fueled by several things. First and foremost it is fueled by SARCASM. Creativity, sense of humor and relationship to THE SHOW, are other important factors. If I read the numbers correctly, I was Board member #3343. So there was a large group of people who had been here longer than this dummy. Back then, attacks and ridicule were more focussed and if you didn't "get it", you were more likely to be treated like the red-headed stepchild. So, I lurked, I read and I learned. Oh, I got some beatings, but you know what? I had fun with them. All of you should too. There is no greater way to become comfortable with this Board than to just try and be yourself and don't take things so personally. IB is right, no one is screaming in your face and hell, we all have people IN REAL LIFE, that love us. So, just have fun. Don't be a retard and remember, lurk, read and learn. If you have any questions, just ask a Board Regular, whose style you like, a question off the Board. Most of us will help you as much as we can. I had been posting in "Gaming" a little under a thread with the Almighty Lord Magus. Since we had something in common, I built up the courage to ask him my "stupid" quesiton and he was more than helpful. bottom line: Don't be stupid. And if you are. learn & live. (Look at my tag. I slipped up once & it's still haunting me. but it's still funny...)
