Bottom line - he's old, and he knows it. He's become EXACTLY the type of person he used to ridicule on a daily basis, and ironically it was that same schtick that made him this way. I didn't hear the Awesome Garret line, but I did hear Stern play BaBaBooey calls and laugh - this is a double standard. Stern also played the Arnold crank calls - no one would care, but since he constantly says everyone rips him off, he leaves himself open when he does what others have done before. It happens to be especially disrespectful since O&A work for the same company as Stern, and not only don't they directly compete in NY, they are on same stations in many markets. I come to this board to get a reality check on just how immature O&A listeners really are. Goatweed, maybe you stopped listening to Stern because he's matured into what he is ...a 47 year old man. I agree he has become what he used to make fun of...Hollywood!!! But that gives a whole new nuance to his show. I've grown up with Stern and D&M. O&A continue to try to be what they are not. The only time they are truly funny is when they talk about things that they truly relate to...i.e., MARY TYLER MOORE SHOW!!!
