| Today was probably the first time I have ever turned off the Opie and Anthony show in disgust, and much like Jim Norton I have a pretty high tolerance for offensive things. That George Harrison Cancer song was not only unfunny, but totally tasteless. Don't get me wrong, I love sick humor, which is part of the reason why I love the O and A show. However to make light of the cancer that a man who has done so much for the face of music, who has done so much charity work, who you never hear saying a bad word about anyone is just ridiculous. On top of that, the song just sucked, as do most of Brother Joe's song parodies. There's one, and only one reason why those crappy songs make it on the air and I'm sure everyone knows what that is. Now I'm totally prepared to get a bunch of responses to tell me to "sit on a bicycle sprocket" or whatever so go ahead. I'm sure there are plenty of people on this board who would agree with me who just wouldn't have the courage to say anything in fear of getting flamed.,

| Black Earl,
I didn't hear the song, but I agree with you. Harrison might have been the quietest Beatle, but he was probably the most talented. It is a shame what he is going through.

| You guys need to lighten up. Humor is humor. do you think that Joe, and all of us, doesn't love Harrison. His songs are funny becase they make us cringe. You sound like you should be watching Oprah instead of listening to O&A

| I can appreciate you just not finding the song funny but I don't think anything is off limits when it comes to comedy. Usually the more offensive it is, the funnier it is.
That being said, this wasn't Joe's best stuff, but i'm a Beatles fan and i'm certainly not offended.

| I totally agree with some of you that some of the best kind of humor of humor is sick humor. I'm all about people saying what they feel. However somethings should be considered off limits. Making fun of a man who's dying of brain cancer is not funny. If any of you can give me a reason why it's funny besides "it's not me" or because of how crude it is then lets hear it. And as for Brother Joe, the guy has no talent and in my opinion adds nothing to the show. His songs are lame, and any remarks he has when he sits in studio usually fall flat. All he's doing is riding on the coat tails of his much more talented and funnier brother Anthony.

| How does one explain comedy BEOTF? What makes one person laugh over the other? Why are retards funny? I don't know why the song is funny I guess the reason is because it makes me laugh. Brother Joe...comment?

| Opinions are like assholes, everybody has 'em, and some of 'em stink.
I have no problem with BEOTF's not liking ANY of my parodies, But , I must take issue with the allegation of nepotism on Anth's part. I think Anthony would too.
Lots of guys have written parodies for the show, some funny, some not so funny. To accuse me of getting play because I'm related, is ridiculous. I've had parodies played on Howards show, on WPLR, and I've sold parodies to Cutler Comedy service (A Co. that specializes in selling RADIO song parodies to stations across the country ).They didn't know me from the hole in BEOTF's head. They used the songs 'cause they made someone laugh.
BEOTF, I'm gonna write a special song for the "most offensive song parody contest II" just for you...
P.S. That's what Harrison gets... ( the parody, not the cancer)... for stealing Eric "Clapton is God" Claptons wife. What a tool.

| Funny how a guy who finds things such as the Columbine High School shootings, or George Harrison's brain cancer funny enough to write songs about them suddenly turns into Mr. Sensitivity when being accused of nepotism. Like you said man, everyone has an opinion and that one just happens to be mine. Sure you may have sold a lot of song parodies to another stations, but seeing as how much most radio sucks today that really doesn't say a hell of a lot to me. If you want to write another Harrison song parody go for it. It'll be just as lame as the first, and just be yet another reason for me to change the station.
By the way, the Cindy Williams segment today...funny as hell. |

it doesn't mater how offensive a song is, if it's a parody (comedy)it cannot be taken seriously. i personaly love the song, and i can't wait for the upcoming most offensive song contest II. th first one was great, hopefully this one will have a winner.

| I think that if you are gonna listen to a show like this than you have to be absolutely committed to swallowing any type of humor thrown at you.
I think its wrong, maybe not wrong but unfair, to say that one bit, compared to all the others that made the bell ring, has gone over the line of good taste. Its not right to say a columbine song is funny, but special olympics is distasteful because it hits a litle closer to home.
I personally, with or without the influnce of O and A, have a sense of humor that is pretty offensive. Often I will get a response from someone along the lines of, "If someone you know had that happen to them then you wouldnt be laughing." My mom has been in a wheelchair almost all of my life (Im 20) and of course I run across handicap jokes. If they hit too close to home, I turn of the TV/Radio/get out of the conversation.
I don't complain about it or try to make others see handicap jokes are wrong. I know the content of what im involved with and I dont get mad when the content of a comment/song/ etc... might strike me as offensive. I suggest you do the same BEOTF.

| Mr. Sensitivity?? NOW- "you can go sit on a bicycle sprocket" ::yawn:: (good one)
You're Pissing and moaning about a parody that (like it or not dude) A SOON TO BE VERY DEAD George Harrison will never hear.
Yet, a bit that the guys admitted was "a bomb" and will never be done again, was funny as hell according to you.
Making a live, on the phone, human being (Cindy Williams) directly feel like shit about her life is "funny" to you, but, a silly song that the subject of which will never hear, unless O&A are syndicated to England, is cruel and over the line.
Who instilled such a twisted sense of morality in you? Hmmm?
Maybe you have a tumor or something...
...End of subject for me...tune out anytime, I won't miss you.
