And Ulanov already has his daily giveaway in the defensive zone that leads to a scoring chance. Through 1 period we've got the lead over LA, hopefully they keep it up.

O&A Board Regular Registered: Aug. 01 | I know that, I was just saying it was wierd how the Rangers get the worst calls on the West coast and on the East it's usually fine. It was a good game by the Blue shirts who got the bad calls again but still won. Hopefully they keep it up.

O&A Board Regular Registered: Aug. 01 | 5-0, that score makes it look like the Rangers played horrible, actually they didn't play that bad. 36 shots on Burke isn't bad, too bad Burke was amazing that game. The Blue Shirts actually outshot a team but ended up losing. Snaps the three game win streak. Next up: The Oilers, Lindros should be back and ready to kick ass.

O&A Board Regular Registered: Dec. 00 | They didnt play that bad, but they still played bad. They werent sharp and they didnt finish or take advantage of oppurtunities. On the other hand Phoenix did, and Sean Burke was stellar. If Nabakov or Potvin would have played that way in the first two games, then the Rangers would have lost those 2 games as well. They just need to put this one behind them and regroup against Edmonton and hopefully Lindros will at full strenght, and also hopefully Ulanov will finally be scratched after yet another giveaway that led to a goal last night.

I'm getting tired of Ulanov's passes directly onto the stick of the opposing teams center, 20 feet from net. 2 out of 3 fine so far, considering all. Team still needs consistant scoring out of 2nd & 3rd lines. Has anyone heard anything about Jamie Ludmark? He doesn't seem to be doing much at Hartford.

O&A Board Regular Registered: Dec. 00 | Great Job by the Rangers coming back to get the point. Im very happy with that, and throughout the 3rd I was dying just to see the Rangers gett a goal and I definetly was happy with settling with the 1 point after the way the Rangers had been playing the past 3 games. But of course you cant just be happy, because there always has to be something frustrating that happens, and once again the Refs screw us over. What a bullshit intereference call on Johansson with 17 seconds left. Thats either a no call, or if anything its a tripping call on Aebischter. You dont call that rinky dink call with 17 seconds left in the game regardless. Let the players decide the game, not these incompetent refs who seem to get worse game after game. And it was almost a total disaster as Colorado came very close to scoring at the end of regulation which would have cancelled out the Rangers point and then I would have really been angry. Now hopefully they move on to Pittsburgh and make this an over .500 trip. They dont have to rush Lindros, but seeing him back would be nice. They miss him tremendously.

O&A Board Regular Registered: Aug. 01 | Well, I was happy with the game :) Look on the bright side, Lindros played again, Kasparitis(sp?) didn't give 'em a concussion. 36 shots on net, but the Rangers couldn't take advantage of the opportunities. And Fleury hurt the Rangers with 3 penalties, plus the Blue Shirts went 0 for 6 on the powerplay. This message was edited by rageparty on 1-6-02 @ 12:13 AM

O&A Board Regular Registered: Dec. 00 | Not to mention, Fleury quits on the game and takes himself out. What the fuck was that? You dont do that, i dont care if the Refs have it out for you, which they do. You dont do that. The Team should suspend him for the game on Wednesday to set an example. We dont need his 10 penalty minutes a night, whether they are warranted or not.

O&A Board Regular Registered: Jan. 01 | Something is wrong with Fleury. Speculation that I heard was that it was personal problem, but not alcohol/drug related. We need him to get his act together. The Rangers currently have a fragile mix, and having 2 members of only scoring line questionable don't help.

O&A Board Regular Registered: Aug. 01 | No kidding, the FLY line is now the Y line. But Fleury went through a simialar situation last year. I know he'll be back. Lindros is a trooper, there'll be no stopping him when he gets back to 100%. Hopefully both will continue where they left off.

O&A Board Regular Registered: Jan. 01 | Next 2 games will be interesting, (and both ESPN by the way). Tonight vs rejuvinated Kings (Schneider back in lineup) and Sat at Philadelphia. Kings have won 3 in a row since losing to Rangers, and Rangers playing horrible. Low read riot act to team about not "sticking up for each other". Hopefully team will get the fire back, and get things going.

O&A Board Regular Registered: Dec. 00 | quote: well not exactly. Tonight's game is a not an ESPN exclusive, therefore it will be on MSG in the New York Area and it will be blacked out on ESPN. And the game against Philly on Sunday is on ABC. Keep in mind, LA has won on the Island and in New Jersey, and no team has EVER swept the East Coast Trip against all 3 Metro Teams. Thats good news for the Rangers tonight.

O&A Board Regular Registered: Oct. 00 | Big time tonight for the Blueshirts. It would be nice to regain 1st place tonight and regain some momentum. I will also be at the game tonight, and i hope for it to be a fun affair. Go Knicks, Giants, Rangers, and Rutgers Men's Basketball Long Live Psycho Bitch

O&A Board Regular Registered: Oct. 00 | Damn that game sucked. The first two periods were tough to watch, they were a step slow. It seemed like there were 8 Kings on the ice and 5 Rangers. Third period was ok till the last 5 minutes, they actually picked up the pace and made it competitive, but their shots sucked, and they had no rebounds. Hopefully we do better next time. Go Knicks, Giants, Rangers, and Rutgers Men's Basketball Long Live Psycho Bitch

O&A Board Regular Registered: Dec. 00 | Nah, they sucked the entire the 60 minutes. Absoultely pittiful performance. With the exception of Richter, nobody showed up.

O&A Board Regular Registered: Oct. 00 | Yeah you are right FB, without Ritcher it woulda been 7 or 8 to 0. That 2 on 0 break that he stopped was great, and he was great on the others too. Too bad the defense decided not to show. Go Knicks, Giants, Rangers, and Rutgers Men's Basketball Long Live Psycho Bitch

Too bad it wasn't also blacked out on MSG. quote: I was going to put this in my post, but being as superstitious as I am , I decided not to jinx it. I guess your to blame for the loss :) Seriously, that was bad. Defense poor, Offense non-existant, and even Richter finally broke down in 3rd. All I can hope for is somehow they were looking past kings and waiting for Flyers, but I'm not confident in that observation.

O&A Board Regular Registered: Jan. 01 | Today's segment is "Down on the Farm - Hartford Wolfpack" D Mike Mottau was named as Wolfpack representative to AHL all-star game. he's got 21 pts and is a +7. Top scorer is now RW Brad Smyth with 13G 20A, but he's (-7). RW Rico Fata would be high scorer (he's 2nd with 13G 15A (+11), but he's played in 13 less games (since he was called up for a while). RW Jason Dawe next with 14G 13A (-3), followed by C Jamie Lundmark with 9G 16A, but a dissapointing -13. D Terry Virtue is a +12 (32yr old journeyman), D Peter Smrek -4. G Jason LaBarbera has played in 15 games and has a 2.90 GAA, with .915 save pct; Johan Holmqvist has played in 22 games, 3.48 GAA, .888 saves pct. with exception of Mottau, Ranger youth seems to be struggling somewhat. Of course, this is based solely on statistics, not on watching them.

O&A Board Regular Registered: Jan. 01 | Maybe I wasn't watching close enough, but it seemed to me that the Rangers played OK, but Flyers were too much. Goal by Johnsson was back breaker. Flyers look tough, and Rangers need to step it up still.
Francine Banger | posted on 01-12-2002 @ 7:50 PM
O&A Board Regular Registered: Dec. 00 | You have to give them some credit for hanging in there with them, but they have to start putting the puck in the net. The game winning goal by Johnsson was inexcusable. Ive never seen a defenseman have the puck at the point and then skate in uncontested right up to the goalie. That was pittiful. And Richter let up a bad goal for the 4th one to put it away. Fleury and York have both been invisible lately, they need to rebound and take 4, not 2, not 3, 4 points from Columbus in this Home and Home.
