| Psychopath Registered: Sep. 00 | It's funny- the girls on this board are much less disturbed by this than the guys- that's actually nice. Historical perspective- Helen Gurley Brown, ex Editor for Cosmo Mag., was quoted a few years back in the New York Times. She was complaining about the fact that the hysteria behind sexual harassment has gone way to far. When she was young (she's prob. 70-78 now) she worked in an office where the men would tackle the young women, wrestle their panties off and keep them. This only happened to the woman who were willing players, and the women loved it and made sure they always had their best panties on. There were never any complaints. Erin is a willing player- sick as this is, it's her call. The show is providing body guards so that nothing gets too out of hand. Although I think the whole idea is a little off, I don't see the problem with it. This is not legitimizing rape- it's acknowledging a rape fantasy, something that you hear about all of the time. (To say that she is "asking for it" is a little scarier, however. That's taking the act a little closer to reality. To be a willing participant is different than saying she's asking for it. I understand what you meant, but it is scary.) | ||||

| O&A Board Regular Registered: Feb. 01 | I have to agree with those that say this is no big deal. And to add to what someone said previously sexual harrassment has gone way to far. I used to work at a place where people would make sex jokes and casually flirt. It was all done innocently. Working the night shift was boring and horsing around in this way made it go faster until some prude got hired and uttered the words sexual harrassment. We were all on egg shells after that and we all starting dropping like flies. One at a time we all quit and went somewhere else to work. It is not cool when prudes rooooooooooon a good thing. If this "game" is done correctly then there should be no problems. I see nothing wrong with it. Advice: Get copies of participants id..this will save o&a's butt that everyone is legal and two it may scare off in some way the sick minds that want to play and do sumthin baaaaaad....
