| Hanger-On Registered: Aug. 00 | As a NY transplant that is TEMPORARILY (thank god) in DC for law school, let me help clarify a few things about this city: a: It is full of rubes and hicks--and it doesn't matter what color they are. The average level of sophistication and intelligence of a DC/suburban Maryland/Virginia resident is that of an 11 year old New Yorker. I would be willing to bet 10% of the area could keep up with the slew of movie/pop culture/historical references the show relies on. b: Most of the people that listen to teh radio in this town are government office workers, and their PC bosses are too poltically pussy-whipped to allow them to listen to the show, even if they could understand it. c: I don't know if it is loyalty to Don & Mike or what, but WJFK requires people to go to their VIRGINIA OFFICES to get a WOW bumper sticker--could they make it any more of a pain in the ass?!? They aren't doing dick to help the show out. All I ask is that they don't drop the show until August, when I will be back in NYC and out of this shithole FOREVER! "Riotous Monkeys!" | ||||

| Psychopath Registered: Oct. 01 | I'd like to thank those of you who didn't cop an elitist bullshit attitude of "D.C. sucks cause they ain't NEW YAWK CITY!". Whoever called in to the show last week from the D.C. area hit the nail on the head about O&A's ratings. A big part of the reason why O&A are doing so poorly is because WJFK promotes ONE SHOW, and one show only, to the exclusion of EVERYTHING else. If you don't know which show that is, it's not hard to guess. It's the show who's d-jay doubles as the program director. He's also the genius behind the mega-reverb. Until they (WJFK) actually try and promote the show, it won't probably do much better for some time. It'll be interesting to see the kind of reaction O&A get when they step foot into Geronimo's house. I doubt that they'll be getting a warm reception, with a grand tour of the city, a la Tim Sabien. BTW, if you really want to feel bad for someone, feel bad for Ron and Fez. I can't even begin to describe how badly that show is butchered here.  "Being a bastard WORKS." --Spider Jerusalem | ||||

| Hanger-On Registered: Jan. 02 | I was impressed today about how O&A was so critical about how the press is treating the "Taliban in Gitmo". This is the one time I salute O&A...they were right on the numbers with this. As for the rest of O&A, they still suck the big one. They are bigots and promote racism. I'm getting tired of hearing the negative statements about the Rev. Martin Luther King...especially on the day that was established by law to recognize his significant contributions to the United States. O&A should keep in mind that their listeners includes peoples of all races...not only those of the white 18-49 year demographics..... | ||||
