D&M went to daytime to be live in the cities where they were on tape delay. You didn't hear D&M bitch at all about the switch....they looked foreward to it. Now they are going live in philly, so what?!?! They arent competing against O&A, but I'm sure D&M would never roll over, and let anybody compete against them for resources. Now O&A have a new lead-in in philly, so what?!?! Ratings (like they matter now), are based on who listens to your show, not who listened to the show before you came on. D&M may actually score some new listeners for O&A. But then again........this may be a manufactured fight to give d&M some hype for the debut on monday. Who know, and who cares? | ||||

I enjoy seeing naked chicks, not listening to them. Over at the dentist board many people have said they are too lazy, and I agree to a certain extent. Material has fell into their lap this week, but most weeks that isnt the case. Rants definitely are good radio, even if I don't agree with them. I agree with Psycho, although all I know about D&M is that they arent funny. | ||||

They have a following, do a few things differently from the same old show and continue to spread their virus across the country. I know that I can tune in and catch something funny all the time with O&A, because when they suck, they admit it. D&M should never consider themselves in a league with has-beens like Stern and Imus, simply because they did, as they do now, take what the most "outrageous" jock on the air is doing and mix in some vanilla. Now, more or less, D&M are doing their best Pat Boone imitation of O&A. I also missed Opie's rant, but I get the general idea- D&M are once again fucking with the format like crying little babies. Opie and Anthony should have signed with someone else. So, how much time is left on this contract? Ken's going to need a much bigger pen the next time around. D&M's ratings in New York have been an embarrassment, but the Big Wigs have no problem and are willing to give the two tools more and more time. More time for D&M=lower and lower ratings. Management gives O&A about 6 months or so and they might pull the plug on the boys in DC. Bullshit I will listen to D&M on Monday and I bet that they won't take many calls from Philly. Was this the revenge Opie had in mind to thank Philly for the two girls that came to the NYC studio and fucking bombed? | ||||

FTL was right, this is a board for that 5% that listens religiously to the show. You really should know what all this is about. The rant that Opie gave today was a lot like the one that Ant did about a year and half ago about his divorce and stern talking shit about it. That is why this is so entertaining. I was chomping at the bit listening today. That is what this is really about, isn't it? We listen because we know what great radio this will lead too, and we know that D and M aren't Stern. They can't have O and A censored like boner nose does. This gives the two such an edge and such a big stick that D and M don't really have much to fight back with. What are they gonna do? Cry to management about how they can do better than O and A? They have had about 6-9 months to prove it and they have come up way short. They are standing in quicksand. Ken Stevens and Jeremy can't hold them up forever, eventually they will get so tired and so redundant that Don and Mike will no longer be suitable for the airwaves (personally, i think that they are way beyond that point). Opie and Anthony always win in the end. The only reason that they would be shut out of DC is because Don and Mike can prove that they had success there and Ken & Jeremy will let them have it back. Or some shit like that. It's not that O and A aren't doing well, its that WNEW management is so out of the loop as to what real good radio is about, they would let some bullshit like that happening. WNEW management is like the Special Olympics of the radio business. Retarded through and through.  It's not like I killed someone. It's not like I drove a spitefull spear into your side. You talk to Jesus Christ as if he knows the reasons why he did it all for you. | ||||
