Okay, maybe this is a time complete honesty isn't a good idea...

But seriously, Joey, I think you're being way too hard on the nightie contestants, yourself included. There's nothing wrong with being proud of how you look and showing off. You're proud of your writings, and so you set up a link to encourage us to check out your site. Does this make you a whore? Of course not. Likewise, I don't think Stephanie is a whore for showing off something she's proud of. If a contestant sleep with Opie to get him to fix the contest, now THAT person would be a whore.

No offense, Joey, but I'm not sure why you seem so disgusted with there being nudity in the contest. Okay, if you signed up for a chess match, and your opponent stripped during the match, I could see why you'd be upset. But you entered something called the "Naughty Nightie Contest". Didn't you know you were signing up for something that may feature nudity?

Actually before you had your pictures taken you had to sign a form with a list of guidelines for the pictures. This form stated that no obscene or pornographic poses were permitted. In fact, my friend, who also was a contestant, was made to cover her chest because her half-bra exposed her nipple. But this was at the beginning of the competition. So, no, I didn't expect there to be all that nudity.

But I do see your point about displaying what we're proud of. I do apologize for calling her a whore and perhaps am able to look from her perspective. I actually thought more about it when I was at home last night. As far as I know, she didn't sleep with anyone (and I'd rather not know). Furthermore, what the fuck do I care? And so I realized I really don't, so why did it bother me so much? Sometimes I forget that the standards I hold for myself don't and shouldn't apply to other people.

Silera, I wasn't talking about all of the women in the contest. I met a few of the girls that were in the contest and they were all cool. And, I don't even know which contestant you were so I couldn't even tell you any opinions I might have. I've read some of your posts and conclude that you seem like a cool person, but that's the only opinion I can have of you. In no way was "these" or "those" meant as an attack on you.

And just for the new guys who think calling me ugly will hurt, it doesn't. I don't need you to think I'm pretty in order to feel that way about myself. You're entitled to your opinion, of course. I'm sure lots of people think I'm ugly, as I know lots of people think I'm pretty.

Pretty was never part of the issue. I believe most of the girls in the competition were beautiful regardless of what I thought about their pictures or personality.
