| O&A Board Regular Registered: Oct. 00 | I watched Crouching Tiger Hidden Dragon on DVD this weekend. Nicest thing about the DVD was the dubbing into English so as to avoid the pesky reading thing. All in all, a decent flick, not quite what it was hyped to be I thought, but above average. The whole flying thing gets to be a bit irritating, but some excellent fight scenes. Still one spot open! I am pleased to announce that DevonGetTheTable is the newest addition to the Slackjaw family! Report any transgressions to me. | ||||

Could be coincidence, or could be planned reintroduction of spaz to newer members of their audience. This speculation stuff sucks, but what else do we have to do with ourselves this weekend! | Psychopath Registered: Jun. 01 | Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon was okay, but you're dead-on about the wire work being too labored. The swordplay was pretty cool, but here and there the film was sped up to make the action more frenetic. Then again, maybe it was because I saw it in the theater and got dizzy reading the subtitles. I flew 7 1/2 hours back from Germany this weekend, so I am not sure whether I ate lunch or dinner. My plane left at 2:00 and arrived at 3-something. It was turkey, I think. And a lot of beer - Lufthansa is good like that for the beer, bad with the service - like some scary reincarnation of Hogan's Heroes. And Spaz coming back scares me. Sometimes, it was hilarious how fucking stupid he was, but then it would get fucking ponderous. Without Joe Pesci wandering into the studio and shooting him in the head on the Stinky/Spaz/Your Mother's Box cam, there was no payoff... he goes on (like I do), threatening to infect the gene pool with his demon splooge. Oh, and I brought home a couple of Cuban cigars (still trying to keep it off contract rumors) And I think it was Homer, not Hummer or Hommer I held a hand last night, so lovely and so nice. It' did not bend, it was a simple vice: two Jacks and aces thrice! | ||||

Although Butchie on Radio Chick yelled in the first two minutes of his show to have people stop Instant Feedbacking about "other programs on this radio station," I think the decision must have been made by now. Oh, when will we know? I am trying to walk it off, Deek, but I have a lot of writing and webwork to do, so I can't help checking in on the radio and here at the boart. I'm a tool.
