I'm not going to say what the significance of it is because there are about 15 other posts that could tell you. The "Your mom's box" on the website isn't exactly news. Check my ID--while I am in NYC for the summer, I am a law student in DC that listens to them whenever I can on SU. I also know that, as of last week, there were PLENTY of pics of the whipped cream bikini contest, links to the pics of Stinky's trip to WONA, and plenty of other bits from months, if not years, ago. I started listening in July of 1999--while I don't claim to be THE most informed (I ain't Froy), I have probably been listening for about twice as long as you have. Now, I have a job at a law firm and can't exactly listen to every friggin minute of the show. And I didn't endorse any theory. All I said was that the removal of all the other stuff from WNEW's site wasn't good news. I think everyone is a bit testy right now with all the shit going on--so let's all take a deep breath and hope for the best. "Riotous Monkeys!" | ||||

Yeah, infinity is going to take their Flagship NY station, the number #1 (i know there only IS one) modern rock station in NY and convert it to all talk. It is now 11:25 or so AM. O&A would be on WNEW a 3 PM Ron and Fex may update us at 12 noon. The speculation can be fun. Mark coming back would be cool, and SPAZ's return would be priceless. O&A at KROK would SUCK!!!!!!!!! that would only mean more restrictions. But hell it they do or did sign with them lets just respect their will to do what they felt was right... | Hanger-On Registered: May. 01 | Hate to say it, but I will: I predicted this over 2 month ago (ON the show) when I called up and asked the boys whether they thought that KROC in the afternoon seemed like a reasonable idea, presuming that they DO renew with infinity. THEY Laughed and said "over our dead bodies" (However, I still agree that the demographics, as well as the financials DO make it in Infinity's (read MY best interest to do it this way... Mel-No's. I have been listening since November 1999, so don't get snippy with me, sir. You don't have a whole lot of ground made up on me there. And I don't care how much you think you know or how faithful a listener you claim to be - because it wasn't exactly a secret, nor was it a one-time talk-about-it-and-forget-it moment... "Your mom's box" was the last phrase uttered by Psycho Mark as a WNEW employee. There, I went and told you. O&A went out of their way to make a joke for you - it was the last phrase THEY said over the airwaves, it's on their webspace and on the Stinky Cam. And you didn't even get it. Faithful my ass, pal. Everything from Ant's Celine and Chuck Heston impersonations, to Opie's smashing Stalker Patty's gifts, to Black Earl quitting at every sticker stop. I love the show. But I don't LIVE the show. I am faithful, listen whenever I can, but I don't (and never professed to) know EVERY LITTLE ASPECT of things. And as for listening to the last thing they uttered on thursday? I was at a firm cocktail party. You want to go head-to-head for who is a "better" fan? You can have the title. All I care about is good radio--which the guys provide. Period. Call me a newbie, someone in need of adoption, whatever--I have better things to care about. And after this post, write whatever the hell you want about me. I don't care. Old Howie could have calmed his nut about O&A after he signed his $100 M contract.(He was probably most worried that Infinity would not sign him and move O&A into his spot.) O&A used to say good things about Howie-"give him his props" etc;some good old-fashioned competition (or all-out-war)between the 2 shows would make for good radio. The main thing is that it makes sense for Infinity to have one all-talk station and one all-music station.WNEW has the better known music rep-maybe it'll go all music. All the speculation is fun;fuck-tards of every shape and size(me included) get to play "RADIO GENERAL MANAGER" for a day. | ||||

| Psychopath Registered: Feb. 01 | For those getting information from the NYRMB, just keep in mind I can't remember the last time Allen Sniffin' butts has been accurate with any of his predictions, rumors, etc. He always ends up with egg all over his face and winds up becoming a funny bit because of how over the top, drudge jr. style he is off the mark. Why would K-ROCK move to an all-talk format, or even a half talk format? Yeah, maybe when hell freezes over. O&A should not be playing music. We don't want to hear music, we want to hear O&A. I think most people who listen to them agree. Hell, they should justn play Tom Jones standards.
