| Hanger-On Registered: Jan. 70 | The fact that Anthony is the moderator shows how utterly useless this forum is. He logs in but once every six months. This forum is good for people who want feeds. But since the show is syndicated almost everywhere the feeds are useless. The feeds really only help spread the word of the RF show, and not O&A DIG, you are right that this forum, like social security, has outlived its usefuleness. | ||||

SU is a place to post that you have a feed, ask for help setting up a feed, asking if a particular feed is down, or other feed related things SU is the home, in a way, of the FTP.many people on the board use the FTP, and it lets us get o+a shows that we missed, or were just really good.bit requests come HERE, not to gd. SU is basically a place to host lots of small things.basically, SU is the closet of oa.com  | ||||

I've seen the other forums and for every three or four GOOD people, they seem to have an equal number of truly nasty, horrid little gnome people who disgust and sicken me. This forum does serve a purpose, despite what those who contribute nothing say about it. That O&A are syndicated everywhere is asinine. I live 30 miles from NYC and thanks to other fucking stations, MY reception of the show sucks. What about Connecticut? Westchester? Rockland? Kansas? Georgia? Florida? CANADA? Hawaii? Need I go on? I work until 7 and my job frowns on me playing the radio at work. SU gives me alternatives that allow me to enjoy the show. And the people here? Some of them I can't stand, but most are truly good people. The real rules of SU are to be smart, do your homework and treat those who have earned respect with respect. If you do these, we all get along. Two things get us going: 1) people who don't do the homework (as you indicated you knew where the info was, you passed) and say "feed me, feed me.....because I'm lazy and can't figure it out). OR 2) People who either just join or try "board bussing" (segregation) but somehow think they have the right to come in here and act like King Shit. In this forum (and I'm sure the others), you're new until you've earned the respect. A high post count or a cool sig pic does not earn you points here. Your words do. Your brain does. That being said, these are the only people I know online that I would say are my friends. They make me laugh. They make me think. I am proud to know them and defensive of them. THAT is what this forum has to offer. And it's more than I've seen on the other boards here, so the question isn't why is THIS forum here, it's why people stay THERE. But the reason I listen on SU, even though O&A are syndicated here, is to be able to listen to the show live. Our local radio station cuts the show to bits when it is replayed later in the day. Also, listening live on WNEW and hearing the commercials O&A read is as funny as the show sometimes.  Thank You, Austin | ||||
