Very few people in Philly had ever heard of them or given them the benefit of the doubt when they came on. Why would they leave the huge fan base that they built in New York? To prove they can beat Howard? Why? He is not the only thing in radio. Why would you leave your fan base just to prove that you can take on the man that invented radio, the osbournes, and life itself (hoo hoo). PM drive is a very large part of radio and most stations play music. O&A are doing just fine and they don't need to be judged in terms of Howie. Wait 10 years when they are Howards age and have been syndicated as long and then we can compare the two. O&A are spreading to markets faster than Howard could have ever imagined. | ||||

While Stern is a huge tool, and a total asshole with frightening delusions of grandeur you have to realize that he did, in many ways, progress (not create, NOT CREATE) the format of talk radio familiar to us today. And, unlike Don and Mike, he was funny for a time. Don and Mike on the other hand has done nothing to change, help, or revolutionaize radio programs. Have never been funny. And have no credence to their whining except that their old. As far as 'hating' goes, I hate both of them. I hate Stern because he's a hypocrite, a liar, a greedy psychotic paranoid bastard who tries to make life hard for many others...but he has done important things for the radio. I hate Don and Mike because they THINK they've been groundbreaking, revolutionary, funny, and deserve all the respect and honor that is possible. Maybe Stern is the one I hate the most because of his 'fall from grace' so to speak, but Don and Mike disgust me as a human being far more.
