| O&A Board Veteran Registered: Sep. 00  | They are ripping him off (in this case) because they had the same guest yesterday (6/26) (Cutoffmyfeet.com guy) as Howard had today (6/27). He is accusing them of listening ot his promos and taking the guest from that. I'm wondering if Stern is so big and has so many great guests, why is such a pointless loser taking up Howard's promo time? | O&A Board Regular Registered: Jan. 01 | Doc, I also think that the shows are nothing alike. If, as it seems, R&F used to be Ron & Ron, I remember Howie talking about them a few years ago. I guess anyone who is funny he thinks is ripping him off. (of course, he is no longer funny) ;) I have to give props to R&F; they didn't bring it up, but when a caller did, they didn't back down; they mentioned that Stern started playing promos like the R&F promos (with the dawson creek music). Dump guy even let the name go through. | ||||

Just to make a little correction to that line of thought. 90% of Guests are merely people looking to plug something. So, if you are looking for plugs, you look around at the various shows within your area. Anyone doing the talk show circuit has a few shows to look at as possible spots. A Guest Promoting something in the New York area probably came to both radio stations and asked for air time. | ||||
