O&A Board Regular Registered: Jan. 01	Interesting banter between Don and Jewdown. It comes as no surprise I'm sure, that I agree 100% with Don. That being said, Jewdown is perfectly right to take his position. I fire people on a regular basis and refuse to hire others because they fail their tests. Therefore, I guess I'm one of those assholes. Fine, so be it, I'm an asshole. I object strongly to that castration thing though. The reasons the tests are necessary are many. They do have a valuable place in our society. There are certain jobs and professions that can't take the risk. I do not condone the use of drugs (except alcohol when done responsibly), however I respect everyones right to use drugs if thats their choice. If you choose to use drugs, there are certain professions you shouldn't be in. If your employer conducts random drug tests, it seldom is done just because they think you might be unproductive. There are usually saftey issues at stake. Drug testing as a condition of hire is different. If you don't want to participate in working in their efforts to provide a drug free workplace, don't apply. Bottom line, if you choose to use drugs, then by all means excersize your rights and enjoy yourself. However, you may need to find a profession that tolerates it. If getting high is your priority over your career, thats cool, then don't complain about the tests. o&aswallow Recognized His Destiny Early.
