| O&A Board Regular Registered: Oct. 00  | I dunno, although many other boards have done the black thing, we kinda need to think about our own. The board has been basically the same for a LONG time (or is it forever? I missed the oa.thehellhole days).... this design is fresh, something COMPLETELY new, the theme is tied in with the show, and it's not annoying (see: ronfez.net). | ||||

Quite frankly I don't know what color is the way to go, but like I said, when I see a black message board, the first thing that comes into my head is ez-board. It's probably a moot point anyway, being that a change in color to the board is going to make people say we were desperate to change anything anyway. I guess what I'm saying is that it's a no win proposition, if you change it people are going to say one thing, and if you don't, they're going to say you didn't do anything. | O&A Board Veteran Registered: Feb. 01 | I was skeptical of the black myself. Ask FTL & Gooch, I was very much against it at the start, but it has grown on me. The plan was to debut the new design tomorrow, and then begin a logo redesign contest. If a bunch of you are on AIM later tonight, we'll get a little chat going to discuss some options & concerns. | O&A Board Regular Registered: Oct. 00 | Yeah, I'd still like to roll it out tonight, maybe midnight-ish, certainly not later (have to be up early tomorrow). I swear, Jeff is a fucking dead man. It'll take me all day to find ALL the code that needs to be changed in order to do this, but it will get done. An AIM chat later sounds good to me. Also, I'll be uploading a new Test #1 shortly. This should be pretty much be the final look, fixing all the things I missed and making a few edits based on how the code will make things work. It should be pretty nice, I'll have it up within 30 minutes, so check out the Test #1 link then. | ||||
