O&A and R&F have different sounding shows for different audiences. O&A have a shocking, quick-moving, over the top show to grab the attention of people in their cars and people who are entertained merely by the talk of sex. Of course, they also have intermittent breaks full of insight and intelligent conversation that will make your gut break open. They are masters of this, hence syndication, etc. R&F have a somewhat slower paced show featuring more wit and entendre (sp?) humor. They go deeper into subjects and depend more on an intelligent, laid-back listener. Of course, they will shock and tease you occasionally with stunts like the enema-joke-off and the Al-Peeing his pants thing. I love both shows because I like to be entertained from all angles. R&F did an O&A like show back in FLA and were very successful. I have no doubt O&A could do (and would probably prefer personally to do) a show like R&F's well. It's all a matter of taste as far as listenership is concerned. And, don't expect to have too many old school AFRO shows. It takes even Anthony a couple hours to go out, get tanked, and make his way back to the studio.... They talk to Their producers for over an hour every show about how lame they are and talk about Opie and Anthony Inside jokes. If I want to hear about the Chick that fucked Phycho Mark or Dan From Hoboken's life then I will hear it on O&A. quote:. They need to be there own show, Not an O&A side show. | O&A Board Veteran Registered: Sep. 00 | How the fuck are they an O&A side show? They do their own things and don't always rely on Opie and Anthony. Some people who like the humor of O&A also like that of R&F (e.g. myself, Dan, Jon, AM) so feedback to them on their own accord. Ron and Fez and Opie and Anthony are two separate but hysterical entities. They are not a spinoff and when they crossover, it's like when Homicide merged with Law and Order for a few episodes not like when Jack Ripper visited the Ropers on The Ropers.
