Worst of all (for me as a fireman/EMT) there is a report from CBS is that some 200! emergency workers are missing. I can only hope that the majority of them are just seperated from their company's. I almost caused an accident today as a broke down in tears while driving and hearing the Trade Center collapse. I'm from Boston, and it kills me that these people originated here. I can't fathom what you people must be going through. I pray for all of you, and I hope this tragedy touches as few people as possible. | ||||

| O&A Board Veteran Registered: Aug. 01 | You know, I was walking the streets of New York just last night. I've been taking advantage of a gorgeous skyline now for 22 years, one that I could admire just by looking out my window. This will affect everyone. If you have any sense of humanity in you, appreciate the family your with right now and don't take anything for granted anymore. I have very little family and would rather be going through all this with loved one's rather than alone. I pray that this tragedy will wake up people and allow them to appreciate what they have. good luck to everyone on this board. | ||||

They knew full well that they were shooting down innocent people and will have to live with that the rest of their lives. Its a real wake up call to America--we learned we are not untouchable. Security needs to be tightened up when it comes to foreigners. Close the fucking borders completely, forever... The FAA said they had no warning--American Airlines reported 2 planes highjacked, but nobody seemed concerned about them. Shouldn't they just assume that a highjacked plane is a dangerous threat and make it a priority to track it down? I had also heard that the Towers were not the prime target.
