The US might be able to create diplomatic ties with the new regime, unless we bomb the shit out of them. 2. Pakistan hasnt done much. Bin Ladin is in Afghanistan, not Pakistan. Though he might have been there, were Bin Ladin WAS isnt a real big concern now. And Pakistan has nukes. Dont wanna fuck with nukes. 3. Egypt is actually a semi-ally in this. I believe they have denounced the terrorist act. 4. Libya and Lebanon? Didnt we already bomb them? 5. The Palestinans can barely seem to get at the Isrealis, I doubt they could have done such a large scale attack on America. 6. How do you declare war on a person? We should go to war against Bin Ladin? That seems rather one sided. And this notion that we should go after EVERY country that EVER supported a terrorist group, even if it was decades ago(Lebanon?!?) is silly. As has been pointed out, the US has supported plenty of terrorist groups in our day. Lets try to deal with the existing terrorist groups and not worry about bombing Lebanon and Libya again. | ||||

| Hanger-On Registered: Jan. 70 | I can understand the frustration of many people here. Stop and put yourself in other people's shoes. We all know that Unicron is easy to jump the gun, I don't blame him. I feel bad for Unicron as i do for many people who are either very young and have not really read or heard stories that i heard about WW 2 and Vietnam and the horror in israel. These people who are not ignorant by choice to what goes on are horrified as to what happened in our back yard, and they don't know how to deal and cope except for immense anger. So i conisder myself a very open minded person because i will always put myself in someone elses shoes, so try to understand that Uni is pissed and is in deep shock. Onto declaring war, first we must make sure our home front is secure from any reprecutions from strikes on other countries. Afghanistan must be first for defending bin laden yesterday and supporting him. By bombing i don't mean bomb streets, bomb their military forces and facilities and their political headquarters. Like we would over throw castro in cuba if the cuban missle crisis ever came to a head. We must overtake afghanistan from the taliban and give it back to the people and the proper authorities. Plus keep a strong military presence in Afghanistan after the attacks and raids. Ofcourse innocent people will die but that is the price of war. Should we have no bombed berlin or japan because of civilians and let them continue? Ofcourse not but just as they would bomb pearl harbor in 41 and they would bomb our naval facilities in arlington today if they planned to bomb our facilities we must bomb their equivalents. The attacks must be strong and sustained not a week or two but then not only military attacks but diplomatic attacks as well. I dunno about egypt though. Pakistan should also be a target as well as Iraq. But we can assume and plan all we want that decision will finally lie with our Gov't. But please we are all on the same side here, let's try to understand eachother. | O&A Board Regular Registered: Mar. 01 | I apologize for all of my outlandish comments. i do know the horrors of war, my father was in vietnam as were uncles and when i used to ask for stories and they say they can't, they don't want to re-live their time there, that speaks to me more than any story could. I, and all of us were put in the other peoples shoes, when we were bombed, we were attacked, and everyone has an injured or dead friend or loved one. Anger and utter hoplessness, sadness, and terror, is all i feel now. Every noise make me jump, makes my heart skip. Wecan't live like this. War is hell, it is not good, but when you are attacked, you must fight back, and hit harder than your enemy thought you could. Innocents will die. But they hit us first. They started it. I just want to feel safe again, and try to get back to normal, which i don't think any of us will ever be again. I've been so tired, hot, and sore the last few days, but your comments make me forget about all that. I was working the front gate of the base today, and everyone was driving by waving flags and honking horns. Damn, that was great, Americans rule. I just heard on the news that 40,000 Reserves are going to be called up, some will probably help dig out NYC. Since I'm so close to the city, I expect to get that call next. I hope I'll be there next.

This includes Afganistan, libya, iraq and palastine. these countries support these terrorists by letting them stay safely in their countries and let them train. Pakistan should not be let off the hook either bec in 98 when we came calling for bin laden they werent cooperative with us, they didnt let us use their airspace.
