O&A Board Regular Registered: Nov. 00 | Finally was able to sit down and watch it on tape. What I liked: 1. Clark's relationship with his Dad. Very key to who Clark is, and as fans know, important to who he becomes. (Just watch Superman 1 again.) 2. Lona Lang = HOT 3. The radioactive effects of Kryptonite are more widespread than just effecting Clark. (In comic they are harmful to people, it just takes a LONG time to build up. A lot like X-rays.) 4. The opening metoer shower. What I didn't like: 1. The really forced "Scooby Gang" they're gonna try. When "Blander" say "We'd all like to join you and Scooby in the Mystery Machine..." I wanted to grab the shows writers and smack them in the head. 2. Electro guys forced vengeance. He's been in a coma for 12 years and is able to locate all three guys and kill them within 20 minutes of the show? And then wants to take out the whole school? Right! The plot felt like it was just shoved into the middle of everything else and really glossed over. Should have had Clark find out about the first murder and the missing picture and then run around trying to save the other two guys. 3. The whole forced Dawson's Creek teen angst crap. Just not beleivable. Undecided: The inclusion of Lex Luthor. How can he possibly not know that Superman IS Clark Kent later on if they become good friends in high school? About no drama in Superman because he's invincible? The real drama in superman is when Luthor puts him in a situation where all his strength and invincibility are USELESS and only quick thinking can overcome Luthor's plans. The best example I can point to is in the movie when Luthor fires TWO nukes in opposite directions so that Superman can only stop ONE of them. It requires a very talented writer to come up with those konds of situations.

O&A Board Veteran Registered: Sep. 00 | quote:I meant during the regular fights like when he's fighting Electro. I got the feeling that we were supposed to feel something when he was hit by his car like nervous or something but it didn't work. We didn't have an example of when only thinking could help Superman yet. "I didn't realize how tragic it [the WTC attack] was until the celebrities told me"- Ron Bennington

Psychopath Registered: Nov. 00 | I saw some of it. I thought it was pretty good, but they gotta improve on the special effects for these shows. I realize they don't have the biggest budgets, but the scene where Clark was getting hit by the truck was really shitty. O&A Board Regular Registered: Dec. 00 | so far i like the show. it is an easy way to unwind and not think...it isn't a high tech show, just enough to help you relax. it is getting a little dawson's creek, but hey, its the wb so it was expected. at least it doesn't have james vandergeek in it...

O&A Board Regular Registered: Oct. 00 | I watched about two episodes and stopped. They just use the Superman stuff as a glorified "bit".... they really have no consistency with the actual storyline, they've just used Superman characters to make a teen drama. Kinda funny though.... they used the Lana Lang from the movie to play Clark's mom on the show. "Miracles and lucky charms made the girl of my dreams the girl in my arms." - Dr. Frank
