Also, I forgot about the Herculoids. I think they were part of an afternoon cartoon package (like the Disney Afternoon) but i forgot what the name was.

I believe that it was the Hanna-Barbabra hour.

Let's not forget all the Hanna Barbera classic's. Yogi Bear, Huckleberry Hound, Quick Draw MacGraw, etc.

Here's a question. Way back in the 80's there was a cartoon on Nickelodeon. I don't remember much except it was about a few kids trying to find their way back to their lost home city. One kid had half of a medallion on a necklace that was made of gold. I can't remember the name of this for the life of me. What show was it?

There was a show on called M.A.S.K. where everyone had a crazy motercycle that turned into a [ozzy voice]helicopter[/ozzy voice] or a car into an airplane. It was the MASK team vs. the Venom team. I don't remember much about it but I had all the action figures back in the day. Also there was a cartoon called Street Frogs that was pretty entertaining. The frogs were rapping before it was "cool".

FROY: Is the show your talking about a cartoon or were they puppets?? I remember a show like that but it wasn't a cartoon.

No, it was definitely a cartoon. I also remember something about them finding the city and then it getting flooded and lost again or something.

FROY: I think I know which one your talking about but I don't want to look like too much of a tool for knowing it. I have a friend who has a stuffed animal from that particular show. It also happens to be one of the most famous stuffed animals ever because if you put a cassette tape in him he sang songs. The show is Teddy Ruxpin and I am a complete tool for knowing that.

Just did a quick search on The Mysterious Cities of Gold and it sounds like that could be it. I do remember Teddy Ruxpin (gasp, it hurts to even type it) having half a medallion and he was looking for some city. Froy, comment?

Wow, you guys are really bringing back the memories. Looney Tunes, all the Hanna Barbera stuff. Classics like Hong Kong Phooey, Grape Ape, and Space Ghost.

I don't want to single out just one show, there have just been too many hours devoted to destroying my mind with useless animation and loving every second of it. :)

The original Voltron (the lion one), G.I. Joe, Jabberjaws, Scooby, Tom and Jerry (interestingly enough, when I was young I preferred the later episodes, where they were friends, but as I grew older, I realized that the true classics were the enemy days).

Star Blazer, perhaprs the one cartoon that was the forefather for the Anime of today. However, I can't believe that I am the only one to mention the following two toons so far.

Shogun Warriors (kind of a transformers before there were transformers :) )

And, quite possibly my favorite cartoon of all time, G-Force. You know, the one where the five heros joined together to become the Phoenix. I was able to see the show again recently, and maybe it doesn't feel the same way that it did back then, but nostalgia is a wonderful heartwarmer.

Currently newbieless...unbelieveable!

Another one of my favorites was Danger Mouse (a direct rip-off of Mighty Mouse. But Danger Mouse was cool because I think that was the cartoon with Count Duckula. I also loved Tennessee Tuxedo, the Riff-Raff cartoons during Garfield, Galaxy High, and some show with Gretzky, Jordan, and Bo Jackson.

Smurfs, Mr. T, Alvin and the Chipmunks, Danger Mouse, Voltron (I have all the lions!), Transformers (definition of 80s children), Ghostbusters (had all the toys), Muppet Babies. TOm and Jerry always made me depressed because Tom was always innocent and he was the fall guy. He was the Oswald of the cartoon world.

Garfield and Friends was THE shit! They could've done less of the US Acres bullshit tho...

Anyone remember Dennis the Menace - the cartoon?
Did you notice that the company that produces that show, and Inspector Gadget and Heathcliff is DIC - pronounced DEEK. Jim Breuer ripped 'em off (hoo hoo)

Oh yeah, Hammerman was entertaining too - not!
