Shit he may not meant what i thought, but it is MY opinion that is what he meant. The rest of the world and the board can speak their own mind. I dont speak for anybody but me. These recent attacks have scared many people because they happened so close to us and most of us know someone who was directly affected. But again, changing your way of life is hardly going to make you safer.

Anyone that should fall by the wayside as a victim of your sense of humor is weak and doesn't deserve respect. Rule 2. Fuck 'em if they can't take a joke. Rule 3. Don't get high on your own sup... oh wait, wrong rule set. Rule 3. Never think about others' feelings before you say/post something. Just post it, if you think it's funny, that's all the matters. Rule 4. A true asshole never follows, but rather questions all rules at any time.

| Psychopath Registered: Jun. 01 | Well, for what it's worth, I thought that Ken'sPen's comment was moderately humorous, and generally he's a pretty quick-witted, funny guy. So I guess that's a vote for "not an asshole." However, Faceman, I understand where you're coming from. The closer you are to these things happening the more sensitive you're going to be to them. Look at the dismissive relief that people have now that they find out this was "just" mechanical in nature. Over 250 people fucking died and people are happy that it wasn't a terrorist that did it. September 11th has taken a toll on everyone and it has rubbed our nerves raw and made us numb to these things, almost jaded I guess. The old addage which Opie and Anthony always mention is tragedy+time=comedy. Sadly, under the circumstances we now live under that "time" is a lot less than it used to be. People are nervous and uneasy, and humor and comedy is one of the best defenses we have against this. With all the "Back to the Future" theories that the boys were talking about on the show today, it goes to show you that we have all become a little callous I suppose. I'm a little troubled that I found all this stuff funny, but what are you going to do. This was yet another terrible tragedy, and maybe the biggest tragedy is that it blends into the background so quickly. I understand what you're feeling Face, but I certainly don't look down on Ken'sPen, and I certainly don't think that he meant any ill-will or that he was so over the line.  Thank you to all the brave volunteers who brought us all together as a country, and thank you to those of you brave soldiers who will fight and have fought for our country. We are a free people because of your efforts. | ||||
