The fact is, the influx of members that we've had is not the norm, and it's because of the contest. And I have no doubt in my mind that at least 90% of them came here because they are too stupid to know the difference between OPIEANTHONY.COM and OPIEANDANTHONY.COM - and if someone is too stupid to know that difference, just how intelligent will they be on a message board? If you want to talk about the old days - in the old days, the people who became regular posters were the ones that either never provoked the wrath of the vets, or felt the wrath and were tough enough to stick around. The nicey nice era bred a lot of people who were coddled and probably never did belong here at all (I will never stop using MYLTF as my example for this). And we don't hate newbies, we don't hate new posters. what we hate is when people just post either a a) stupid thread just to rile up epople or b) to promote their stupid favorite in the contest. Tools are tools whether they have 1 post or 1000 posts. Also if someone makes fun of you be a man and take it, if you can't take it ask a mod to delete your account because you don't deserve to be here.
