And he's done what?? And don't give me this tax cut shit. It probably won't pass the senate, and most people reading this will never realize a dime from it (Any independantly wealthy board members will see some relief it it passes.)
Rommel, I am not a liberal, I consider myself a moderate Democrat, and I have served my country and would do it again in a heartbeat. Clinton, his banging Monica aside, was an excellent president for this country. For 8 years you conservative fucks could not stand the fact that he was popular, an excellent politician, one of the most brilliant politicians of modern times. Disagree with that? What other politician could survive the attacks, impeachment efforts, investigations etc. and still leave office with the highest approval ratings of any president in modern times?
As a veteran, you are misguided by the conservative hype that Clinton was terrible for the military. What Clinton did was down size a peace time miltary and built up dependance on reserves. This has been a major contributor to decreasing the federal deficit, of wich Clinton was elected to do.
And coming from a veteran, how dare you chastise anyone for not serving their country. We do not have a draft. Military service is voluntary. This is a freedom of choice in this country that you claimed you fought for. If your brothers gave blood to defend that freedom of choice, then you owe some people an apology here.

Yes, popular to the "hand-outs" and the one's always looking for a freebie, yourself notwithstanding. And swallow, I'm a registered Independant. I never vote along party lines, but for the best person.

To generalize, yes you're correct. But your party still lost enough seats in The House, thereby providing Republicans with the majority, hence allowing the Impeachment.

This will be left up to the Arthur Schlesinger's of the World.

You and I know, that polls mean nothing. They're skewed to provide a response that one wants to hear.

Wrong. Ask the "majority" of veterans. Ask any leaders of men/women who've served. Ask me.
quote:

This doesn't exclusively apply to the battlefield, or garrison or to non-military.
The quote was meant to say that many people take for granted the fact that no persecution will come to those expressing their humble opinions, as I've done, and as you have . This would not be the case had our military failed, or our choice in forming alliances with those nations during The world's most desperate times had also failed.

| Rommel, A couple of quick points so as not to bore everyone with our political opinions.
Clinton was not just popular with those looking for handouts, The wealthy gathered more wealth during his administration also. It was prosperous times for all.
Don't forget, the Republican controled senate could NOT find reason to impeach him.
And I agree with our freedoms to express our opinions. I cannot find reason to critisize those who didn't fight to preserve it. I am a Vietnam era vet. Many chose not to fight that war. I chose to serve and respect their decisions not to serve. Freedom is just that, the right to choose.

A lot of people have said this and this pisses me off. He's been in office for two months and hasn't reduced the country to a Wasteland. That's pretty much all the qualifications he needs to be doing a "great job." Oh and of course he didn't get a blow job (allegedly) and we all know a president who doesn't get a blow job IS a good president because his morals are intact.
His "tax cut" is ridiculous if he wants to continue spending. He's alienated quite a few segments of this country. I'm not a Democrat, I didn't like Gore but a statement like this always gets me worked up.

| Swallow, in summary, what makes US (dual meaning) GREAT is that we all don't think alike, nor are we required to do so, as some other nations program their citizens to do. These are the dangers, as you and I know. Please accept my apology, and GOD BLESS AMERICA ;)
Hey man, Vietnam Vets are my heroes !!
And, politics is cool, and good for the soul

I like blow jobs. I guess I have no morals. So be it.
Ikea, I have no problem with your opinion, don't get upset. A presidents job is to be the Chief Executive of the country. Much like the Chief Executive Officer of a company. Many successful CEO's get blowjobs. Their companies do just fine. Morals are to be taught in the family and church/synagouge/temple. I for one do not look to the president to teach me moral values. I look to the president to run the country, keeping it safe, prosperous and moving forward. Clinton accomplished that, better than any president in my lifetime (which has been awhile). I agree Bush has been in office only two months. I'm willing to give him time. So far, his priorities of trying to fund church groups, this ridiculous tax cut smoke and mirrors crap and inflamatory language towards potential hostile nations hasn't impressed me. And two months is an adequate amount of time in the life of politics. Just ask Bush's predecessor, his oponents were already trying to get him out of office after two months (Paula Jones, Whitewater).

| O&ASwallow-
I agree 100% If I wanted moral lessons, I'd watch the 700 Club, not CNN. And since when have morals played a part in any business strategy, other than as a front? This country is a business and all we need to worry about is our success. Last time I checked, church & state were separate....

| One word OASwallow, sarcasm.
I didn't mind if he got oral or anal or practiced necrophilia, if the country was fine I was cool with whatever he did. If it wasn't, there's a reason it's called a personal life.
It's not up for the president or government to teach us morals and we shouldn't expect them to.
After all...

So true Rog. However, up to now, listening to Bush's viewpoints, it appears he dosen't agree with the constitution he is sworn to uphold.
Ikea, Your sarcasm is right on. And bravo, people in power have people who oppose them or threaten them, eliminated in any manner possible. Those who can't accept that, do not understand how people in positions of power, keep that power.
