| Psychopath Registered: Oct. 00  | Tanks grumpy! BTW, old mustands, i.e. 68-72 8 cyls. fastbacks/ragtops were manly. New mustangs are lame. Underpowered. I used to have a 93 firebird formula. I smoked every new mustang with ease! Except for the custom models (Cobra, Boss, etc), they are seriously underpowered, have chassis that are about as rigid as an 90 yr. old mans dick, and they all handle as sloppy as a drunken crack whore. Chevy Suburban (sometimes women are in this too) Ford Excursion (again, seen women in it) BMW X5 (any SUV with 18" rims, low profile tires, and 0-60 in under 6 is a guy car, even if women DO drive it) Kid, wanna defend your "Cute Ute" on this one? If you've got a Hummer and you're just using it for street driving, you might as well be a woman, cause you're a rich sonuvabitch who got the Hummer just cause it's expensive and you want to look cool - not thinking about how it's insanely oversized, not comfy, and noisy as hell. The advantages are space, low end torque and the fact I can drive the thing just about anywhere I want to. Oh yeah, and my insurance isn't through the roof either. And unlike the soccer moms in their Rav 4s, Cherokees are made for real offroading. I'm out a couple of times a month and yet to get stuck. | O&A Board Regular Registered: Oct. 00 | Cap'n, you are the exception to the many out there. You actually use yours OFF ROAD. How many people buy them for that purpose though? They are always heavily advertized during the winter months as the solution to driving in the snow and ice. Safety statisitics will tell another story. These vehicles have a high tendency to rollover, especially for people who do not know how to drive them, or take the time to learn. They are no better in ice then my Camaro (well, okay, I am exaggerating a bit here). I owned a Ford Bronco II (worst purchase of my life). I hated it, I was glad that my ex-wife wanted it when we divorced, cause I would have sold it! I will stick with my 1988 Camaro IROC, which gets about the same gas mileage as an SUV, but, looks much better and is faster! Try driving an SUV at 90 and make an evasive manuver(sp?), and see what happens! E-Mail Me | ||||

But now I'm sick of the squeaky clean, bubble-gum snapping image these chick cars give you. I think it is much sexier to see a chick drive a pick up. I was really close to buying a pick up truck but then I decided that filling it up with gas all the time was gonna cost me a pretty penny. So I decided to buy a black 2000 Cherokee. It has been so much fun to drive(not to mention the backseat can be fun too =)) and I still attract attention from passer-bys. | O&A Board Regular Registered: Oct. 00 | My car is great to pick up guys in, usually guys expect a guy to be in my 93 firebird, because i have a system and slightly tinted windows, but when they pull up next to it, and its filled with me and my friends its great. The absolute best is when i beat them when they want to race. For all you long islanders I love to cruise the "pike". Once I get the Dual exhaust put in, and have the Air Intake tweaked with, I will be able to take on them hooked Acuras and Hondas(Although I smoke most of them anyway on the curves... I don't have to throw the brakes they usually do) "Kyle, I'm just a stupid piece of crap..."
