The rafting is fairly calm, for the most part. The term "whitewater" is a bit misleading, there are sections that are "rough", but nothing like what you see in the movies. Trust me, it would be a great time. I would figure late July/early August on a Saturday. We can resurrect this idea as the summer approaches.
