I was going to try verizon as well when it came out, but after doing much research about what others were saying about various companies, Verizon consistently got shitty reviews. I opted to wait for cable, and am very happy I did so - fast as hell, took no time to install, and the tech guy was a dude I went to HS with - hooked me up with the first three months free :).

EDIT : Doomper, Staten Island here as well. Normally I'm glad to meet another islander on the board, but that sig makes me think twice....LOL
