| Psychopath Registered: May. 00  | k, most stores around me said that they will only be selling gamecubes to the people who preordered them. kbtoys is the only place that said they are selling them on a first come first serve basis. i plan on being outside kb around 7:30... they open at 8. good luck to anyone else trying to get a cube. | O&A Board Regular Registered: May. 00 | I don't think Xbox will do that well. I've seen the graphics and they totally suck in my view. Gamecube? Maybe. But Nintendo can't keep on whoring mario, pokemon, and kirby. A new version Metroid would do really good though. I think eventually in the future I will invest in a PS2. Only cause the games look very good and it's backwards compatible w/ PS1 games. I'd wish it would have a hard drive addition and a lower price. For now I stick to PC games, but I don't feel like upgrading the comp.

| O&A Board Regular Registered: Sep. 01 | last year me and my best friend waited outside of best buy over 4 hours before opening time. every thursday best buy had been getting in shipments of ps2s. FIRST IN LINE, we wait, and wait, and wait. finally, the store opens at 11, and guess what? NO PS2's ANYWHERE. later on we find out that toys r' us, two stores down, and open at 10:30, had a shipment that morning. that sucked major ass. i hope all you guys waiting for gamecube or x box have better luck than i did that day. | O&A Board Regular Registered: Jan. 01 | So has anyone managed to get a hold of an X-Box here? And if so, how is it? I played with one in a local EB in the mall, and he controller was ok, but I prefer the PS2 controller (maybe a company will make a PS@-like controller for the X-Box). Ans Hybrid - cool sig! | O&A Board Regular Registered: Aug. 01 | i played Rouge Leader in Best Buy today and it kicked major ass. I was like ::zap zap:: and shit. And the thing is super small. like 6x6 and 4" high. The controller was the best feeling controller that ive ever used. I totally judged this system wrong. I cant wait to get a Gamecube, now. | Psychopath Registered: Oct. 00 | I havent played Gamecube or even seen the thing in person, but I got my Xbox today and it kicks ass. It is huge compared to Gamecube and big compared to PS2. However, who gives a fucking shit how big the thing is?? The graphics are good, Halo and NFL Fever were both lots of fun and unless you like the same kiddie nintendo games why even bother with Gamecube. | ||||

| Psychopath Registered: Aug. 00 | Gamecube is designed for a different audience than both Xbox and PS2. Xbox is more for the PC gamer. Gamecube is meant for younger audiences, or audiences that want more fantasy-type games (traditional Nintendo games). PS2 is somewhere between the two. Xbox has the most potential, with the crazy hardware it has. Only problem really with Gamecube is if it has enough memory on disks for people to program good enough games. They only hold 1.5GB I think, whereas Xbox and PS2's disks hold 4.7GB each. ------------ What about the monkey people? ------------ Son, how many times must I tell you, don't go down when the river is red? | ||||

| Psychopath Registered: Apr. 01 | devs, the 'Cube mini-cds hold about half as much stuff than a DVD. But the way I look at it, it just leaves less room for movies and cut scenes. Besides, theirs still the option of multi-cd games. And they hold a HELL of a lot more info than a Dreamcast disk, and it didnt effect their games really.
