| Psychopath Registered: May. 01  | I know this is off topic and all, but i was just wondering what peoples' opinions about FFIX. I have FF 7&8 and was thinking about getting 9, but I wasn't too sure about it. Overall is it a game that is worth buying, as a fan of the last two FF games? | O&A Board Regular Registered: Oct. 00 | I would have liked FF9 if the characters were created realistically. I dislike the small body- big head style, but the game is just great. Rent it, and I bet you'll want to buy it.  I'd like you better if I could hit you over the head with a baseball bat and let a racoon with hepatitis take a crap on your face.

| Psychopath Registered: Apr. 01 | I thought that FFIX was the worst of the three playstation FF's. The end guy was way to easy to be the last guy. The story took to long to get going. I can't say i was that thillered with it. I enjoyed it, even with all that said. I just won't be replaying it. I know the phrase that pays... | ||||

| O&A Board Regular Registered: Feb. 01 | 9 is fun, I am most of the way thru it, I just got done with the amazingly easy but long side quests with chocobos. If you are a fan of the series, then I recommend getting it, of course. | ||||

| O&A Board Regular Registered: Dec. 00 | I thought the ending to Final Fantasy IX was a bit disappointing. They could have explored the entire "Crystal" side-storyline more, they didnt mention it until the last 3 minutes of hte game. And the final boss? It seems to me like he was just thrown in to meet a shipping deadline. Its a real shame, the Final Fantasy storylines can be real good when they are not rushed. The reason why Final Fantasy 7 was real good was because there was no rush to make it, they were not even sure if it would sell. When they realized that it would sell, the production date for Final Fantasy 8 was changed 7 times, so they could capitalized on the success of it's lineage earlier. Truth be told, i would have no problem waiting 3 years between Final Fantasy Games if i was assured that the storyline would not take a backseat to the graphics and shipping date. This is one of my biggest fears concerning Final Fantasy X. And please, no spoilers, because I had to star the game from near the end all the way to the beginning because of a friggin bad memory card. | Psychopath Registered: Apr. 01 | I hope this games holds me over until FFXII, I was kinda pissed when Square announced that FF11 is gunna be online only. But I guess if your into online games like EQ or UO, FFOnline is a dream come true. They claim that 12 is gunna be back to fantasy realms like 4, 5, 6, and 9. "Gimmy the bat, faggit" "I AM ZEROMUS. | O&A Board Regular Registered: Feb. 01 | 7 is by far my favorite. I think 9 is very good, but I so much miss Materia. The abilities in 9 are good. But I think the drawing in 8 took way too much time for me in the earlier parts of the game. | ||||
