Well from readin this board and what I've gathered myself you knew one tag group was gonna be split up.. I knew it wasnt gonna be Billy & Chuck b/c they have the title. The tried to make it like it might be the Hardy's but that was emphasized way too much to happen. I knew all along that Dudleys would be split. I am not a fan of them anyway so I was happy.

How can you not like the second greatest Tag Team of all-time? ;) (The New Age Outlaws being the Greatest) Yeah I was also surprised that the nWo & Rock/Hogan were split up. I thought that it would be Kane/Rock/Hogan vs. nWo at Backlash for a moment there, but I heard that WrestleMania and the Rumble will be the only cross-promotion matches of the year. Hopefully the WWF signs Scott Steiner and puts him in a match with Austin so he finally gets what he calls a worthy opponent and he stops whining about the angles!

You know, with all this talk about Austin and what to do to appease him, my two cents are this:

Give him a rivalry with Flair! It's obvious he's going there anyway, you can have this drag til Backlash (even if they do settle things), where Austin says he will make his decision on which brand to go. He picks Flair. The contract basically fucks Flair though. Kinda like how sports teams overpay and give too much leeway to players who are free agents just so they can have them, Flair gives too much to Austin in his contract out of fear McMahon would get him.

One of the provisions of Austin's sweet contract? In the first 30 days of the contract, he has to have an undisputed world title match. Hell, wouldn't YOU negotiate that in? So, he gets the title shot against probably HHH at Judgment Day (hey, it'd get a good buyrate, so why not?) and during the match Flair "accidentally" does something to cost Austin the title. Austin concludes that Flair, being pissed off he gave Austin that much money and clauses, didn't want to basically have Austin win the belt and then make the contract worthless as he'd be on both shows anyway. Austin goes on the next Raw, pissed at Flair, mad at him for playing politics (considering recent events, the words pot, kettle, and black come to mind ;) ), and declaring he's out for him. Flair can make a heel Four Horsemen stable (too bad guys like Benoit and Jericho who I'd put there are on SD, maybe he can trade for one of them) to stop Austin, but obviously, in the end, the main rivalry will boil down to a Austin v. heel Flair match. Even at 85 years old for Flair, that would rule the FUCKING WORLD!

Yes, it's the same ol' Austin pissed at the owner storyline, but really what else does his character work best in? And, it's a fresh twist. Who doesn't want to see Flair be the McMahon heel in this slot. With the two characters involved, this would be great TV. And hell, you can afford to turn Flair heel anyway, since he won't be feuding with Vince on the same show anymore.

I think Austin would definitely go for this, and it might end his spat with the WWF since he'd be given a premier, fresh storyline against a new foe, who happens to be a legend.

Oh yeah, and, uh, I think Sir O got the hint that they announced the nWo was being selected as a group and C&B were selected as a group because they are tag champs and the WWF "board" didn't want the titles seperated by now. You don't have to remind him constantly. They announced both on SD Thursday. Of course, Tazz fucked it up on Heat by saying, "I wonder if Chuck and Billy will be selected seperately" thus contradicting everything Lawler said on Thursday, but then Tazz is fucking clueless as an announcer.

In closing, Smackdown is SOOOOOOOOOOOOOO much better than Raw it ain't funny.

why can each side only have 30 superstars? I don't understand that at all. And if they had to be drafted as a unit, they should only count as 1 draft pick anyway, regardless of a people count anyway. The NWO is 1 not 3, just like Chucky and Billy bitchcakes are 1, not 2. As for the actual breakdown of who is better of on which night...its not that bad in my opinion. Sure, Smackdown has the 3 top workers in the WWF today, but with Regal, RVD, Booker and Raven, RAW isn't that god awful. I know most of us were hoping that Flair would get more of the true "wrestlers" but the more I thought about it as the draft went along last night, that would seriously kill ratings on Monday Night. I mean, unfortunately most people want a soap opera, and guys like the undertaker and big slow give that...people don't want to see a 30-45 minute classic Steamboat/Flair match anymore (why I don't know but...) they want people to tell them what to chant, and be shown scantily clothed women.

I know that I for one am going to remain faithful to both shows, and hope for the best out of the writing teams to use the talent in an intelligent way, and not just show the same 5 or 6 guys down our throats repeatedly like they do now...

It's been said here before, but it seems this draft ain't gonna be how things shake out anyway. An interesting thing, though, is that the WWF REALIZES Flair's WWF is inferior as it stands now without saying it.

More On WWF Split & The Future Of The Two Brands
Posted By Ashish on 03.26.02

As reported last night, the WWF roster split is far from complete. The WWF realizes that the RAW and Smackdown rosters are not even and plans to adjust both rosters throughout the next few weeks via trades.

Vince McMahon held a meeting last night at RAW with talent and told them that the upcoming months would be difficult as the WWF adjusts to the brand extension. He added that management will be paying very close attention to both products and plan to make the two rosters as even as possible.

Good, they really should even up the sides. Obviously Austin will go to Raw and maybe Y2J. Flair wasn't shutout though, he got Lesnar, Raven, Booker, RVD, D'Lo Brown & Mr. Perfect. Which could lead to some good midcard wrestling. But his main eventers suck ass at wrestling...

Sorry to sound elitist, but if that was true, than I would absolutely consider the average wrestling fan to be an idiot.

The Dudleys & Outlaws, the two best tag teams of all time???

God, there is so many things wrong with that. So very, very many.

What I am wondering now that the draft is over is if the NWO will take over RAW, and then decide that they will no longer listen to Vince, and invade Smakcdown???

Now I know that talent wise, Smackdown looks better, but did anyone realize that Flairs WWF Raw has ALL of the titles now, with the exception to Tajiri. Flair did alright if you think about it. The only title that Vinnie Mac had that actually was worth fighting over, the Hardcore, now belongs to Flair.

It will be interesting to seee what trades are made and for whom. I think that SCSA will go to Flair's side for the simple fact that he hates Vince, and that angle has been sooooooooooooo over done so many times. Maybe a fued with Flair is what they need. Like what was posted, that might just patch things up 'tween WWF and SCSA. I also like the idea of Steiner coming in to fued with SCSA if he gets healthy enough. A possible Benoit/Austin angle would be good to if he plays both shows.

I would really like it if Flair turned heel. I never really liked the commish or owner etc. as a face. I like it when the faces have a disadvantage like Vince gives them. As long as Ric doesn't wrestle any of the faces on PPV, I would be for a Flair heel turn...

One more for the good guys!
