| Psychopath Registered: Feb. 01  | My 1st concert was in 1981, at MSG. Elton John & (WHO?) Quarterflash. "Gonna harden my heart.." YEECH. The chick with the sax. My Mom took me. Besides enjoying Elton a lot (which I still do, I love him), my clearest memory is of seeing a friggin' huuuuge marijuana cloud hazing the floor seats... "Mom, what's all that smoke?" "Claire, I'll tell you when you're OLDER! &, not even THEN!"  It's social. Demented and sad, but social. "We got a full tank of gas, half a pack of cigarettes, it's late at night, & we're wearing sunglasses." "Hit it". | Psychopath Registered: Jun. 01 | wow I'm young. 1997 a bunch of ska-bands, like the Toasters, in a church basement in Floral Park. After that I didn't go to a show until I saw Creed at Asbury Park a few years later. I showed my stuff and I graduated. All mentoring courtesy of canweseeyourstuff. | ||||

Crucial difference here-instead of observing the huge pot cloud, I was contributing to it, on the floor. I saw Priest 4 more times - always amazing. Saw Maiden once, with Dio opening. ROCK. | Psychopath Registered: Jun. 01 | Lollapaloza '94 at Randalls Isl. I saw the Beastie Boys, L7, Pumpkins, Tribe Called Quest, Luscious Jackson one the 2nd stage, and a young Green day. It kicked ash. I was 13 and went w/ my older brother who almost kicked my ass for buying a button with the Marywanna leaf on it.
