I don't know why the papers haven't picked it up yet. These may have been a second set of papers being filed with the first being filed sometime last summer. Does anyone remember, last summer, that there was a rumor that a high profile athlete in NY may have been batting for the other team? I'm guessing that if the papers print the story without having any evidence, they'll be looking at a libel suit, which could cost them millions, if it did come out that it was all bullshit.

The guy later came out and admitted that it was a fabrication to boost readership. It never happened. Stories come out all the time that players are guy, and everyone jumps on it. There are 30 teams and 25 guys on each team. You figure that even if you just take the five most famous people on each team, you've got 125 guys there. Statistics would say that at least one has to be a poofta (and for the love of God, just to preemptively stop the person who is going to post and say that "well 10% of the population is gay"...That is bullshit. That is the biggest inflated statistic ever. Actual studies show that it's more like 1% of the population, but still with over 400 active major league baseball players, you've gott a have at least a handful of fairies) New Poster with a question? O&A Board Regular Registered: Jan. 01 | Well, It looks like the Boss is at it again :) As you may or may not know, last week Andy Petite was in the dugout with his sons. One happened to be wearing a Mets hat. One problem - an AP reporter took a snapshot. Most teams would slough this off as much ado about nothing - but here is today's quote by Petite in the Daily News: quote: You can't make this stuff up.

Hanger-On Registered: Mar. 02 | Oh my God! How dare andy Pettitte do something so horrible as to buy his own child a Mets hat! He should be fined, he should be suspended, he should be convicted of child abuse!! How ridiculous. Don't these people have anything better to complain about?

O&A Board Regular Registered: Oct. 00 | About that Petitte thing with his son, i find it really pathetic that Cashman and The Boss are pissed about this. First off, the kid's little league team in Texas is named the Mets, so thats one of the resons he wore it. Secondly, who the fuck cares anyway? Its a 7 YEAR OLD KID!!! The Yankee brass has proven to be assholes before, but now this takes the cake. If i were Phillips and the rest of the Mets, i would pay a visit to Yankeeland and Andy's kid and show him that they like the kid, and give the kid a whole bunch of Mets merchandise. I believe sooner or later, we can get Andy Petitte's own son to join the Crack Committee. :) Go Knicks, Giants, Rangers, and Rutgers Men's Basketball (clinched NIT bid already, now shooting for NCAA bid) Long Live Psycho Bitch
