| Psychopath Registered: Aug. 01 | Betting the NHL playoffs is tough, they are the least predictable of the pro post-seasons. I'm suprised, not shocked that Detriot is down 0-2. They didn't have a great April, and they are an older team. I think they may take Vancouver's heads off in game 3, win by 3 or 4 goals. They are too experienced to pack it in. Is the Devils series a suprise? The Hurricanes are the 3rd seed, right? That was some game last night, nothing like OT in the playoffs. | Psychopath Registered: Feb. 01 | Well, well, how bout both the Canucks and Canes? I somewhat expected Vancouver giving Detroit a tough time and, once again, I said if they're getting beaten in the West, it's now, but the Canes are really shocking me. Unlike Wednesday, last night, they DID impress me and Irbe has been great through two games, and now we'll see if they've gotten enough momentum to finish them off. I still wouldn't count the Devils out, though, but I DO think the Wings might be on their way to another embarrassing 1st round exit like with the Sharks a few years ago. | Psychopath Registered: Feb. 01 | Well, I see the Ranger fans are in need of their Midol. Funny how psychology on the refs works. I guess Mad Mike is pretty damn smart, after all. Now, everyone's into it, following Mike's lead. The rant Burke had on behalf of his Canucks was absolutely hysterical from what I saw on SportsCenter. The part where he said, "Our goalie has pads and wears a mask" to the refs had me on the floor. And, you know what, it might get his team a crucial call or two in Game 5 tonight, so it's smart. And besides, where the hell were you FB and Menino when the Isles were getting anally raped by the refs in Toronto, Game 2 especially. Funny how the refs suck only when the team YOU want to win gets jobbed, even if it might just be to make up for the jobbing the Isles got a couple games earlier. 1. 94 Wins and NL East Title by the Mets this year 2.
