Torre was never a "genius" when he managed Mets, he was only "good" with Cards & Braves. With Yankees he does what he needs to; enough said. As for Ventura, a lot has to do with the lack of pressure in the Bronx. With the Mets he was supposed to be the 2nd or 3rd best hitter; with Yankees he only needed to do better than Brosius. Try and go a week without having to punch a wall in frustration after watching the Mets play 2. 90 Wins and somehow get the Mets into playoffs this year 3. All 5 Starters have winning records this year 3a.Have team understand it is OK to get a hit with runners on base. 4.
