You will not find a bigger Sixers fan, and while I know that thay split the regular season, the Lakers are playing flawlessly right now. I honestly believe that the way L.A. is playing right now, they would the Bulls teams of the 90's a run. In fact, they would probably destroy them, considering that the Bulls had nobody that would even be able to slow Shaq down, and if you double Shaq, you leave Kobe to run wild. Still one spot open! Psychopath Registered: Apr. 01 | The only way the sixers will win this series is if it goes 7 games. The Sixers are a different team than any the Fakers have faced so far in the playoffs. The fact that 75% of the Sixers scoring comes from Iverson(shots that he makes & follow ups that he misses)& the fact that there a team built on Defense, I think can be an advantage. I believe that the Fakers will lose game 1, due to the long lay over and the fact that they're the Fakers. Kobe will then start to complain and blame others and the coach. The Fakers don't play as a unit. The Sixers are the definition of a team. Look at game 3 in the last series. And finally, I will take the stance, and take my abuse, that Phil Jackson isn't all that. The six Bulls Championships and the one from the Fakers are impressive, but any of us from this board, or anywhere us for that matter, could of coached those teams to a Championship. of course I could be hitting the crack to hard... Growing tired of all the speculation...

Psychopath Registered: Dec. 00 | I HATE the Lakers. In particular Kobe and Shaq, i wish they'd jump in front of a truck or something. Mutombo has always been one of my players. So I'll be rooting for the SIxers, but I think theres no chance they can win - Lakers in 6. -------------------------- E-Mail me HERE AIM ME AT : OA AfdB

He makes Very Good Teams, CHAMPIONSHIP Teams. What were the Lakers doing before Phil Jackson came in. They were very good, but not Championship caliber. He has done a great job. You cant argue with 8 Rings. No matter how much talent he has had. But on the other hand, If Phil Jackson wants to prove his greatness, he should have signed with the Nets instead of the Lakers back in 99, and win a championship there.

O&A Board Regular Registered: Oct. 00 | Well, game one has passed, and much as I thought/ hoped, the Sixers have begun to make it interesting. Last night was not a "ring rust" fluke, there really was no evidence of rust, the Lakers played well, and seemed to do the things they wanted to do. In game 1, the Sixers flat out played better. Those that might say that the league has attempted to have the officials "keep it close" have no basis here. Shaq pretty much got all the calls that superstars get, as did Kobe. Phil Jackson complains that Iverson "carries" the ball, well Kobe travels worse than Jordan ever did, and doesn't get called, so lighten up Phil. I can't see Philly winning too many of these high scoring games, and they probably played about as well as they possibly could, but they have proven that they mean business and will not just lay down and give L.A. the title. Now, it is all about the way L.A. responds, if the next game is close throughout, this series will be very interesting. Either way, so much for the sweep, and bye bye to the three-fo-fo-fo Still one spot open! I am pleased to announce that DevonGetTheTable is the newest addition to the Slackjaw family! Psychopath Registered: Apr. 01 | I hate it when I'm right. What a Game last night. Could be the best Game of the season. I think the Sixers should why they will win the series, they don't give up, ever. The Fakers seemed to put it into cruise control after the 15-0 or so run in the 1st quater. After that, They didn't seem to be the same. Growing tired of all the speculation...

Psychopath Registered: Apr. 01 | Un-fucking-believable game!!! Some would say you had to make Iverson the MVP of that game, but, I'm going with Eric Snow...the more I watch him play, the more I appreciate what a complete player he is...GO SIXERS!!!

O&A Board Regular Registered: Oct. 00 | Well, obviously I would much rather be gloating about the Sixers being up 2-0, but it is just not the case. The series will be going back to Philadelphia tied at one. However, the Lakers now know without question that they have their hands full. The Sixers stayed with them all night, and if not for horrible foul shooting tonight, they may have won the game. I am happy to see that this is a competetive series, and am still hoping for that miracle. :) Still one spot open! O&A Board Regular Registered: Oct. 00 | I would have loved to hear that conversation between Iverson and Bryant at the end of the game. You know there was a bunch of trash talk between them, and you figure that Iverson was smiling because he is ready to take it home and hear a truly psychotic crowd. He has to be thinking, "ok, we let this one slip away from us, but these guys aren't God's gift to basketball..... we can do this". The crowd in Philly is truly going to be crazy Sunday, and if the Sixers come out of the gates hot, it will be deafening. Still one spot open! O&A Board Regular Registered: Dec. 00 | Lakers will win 2 out of 3 in Philly at least. They swept 2 in the loudest building in the NBA (Sacramento). They swept 2 against the Best Team in the NBA, besides them, (San Antonio). If Indiana,Toronto, and Milwaukee all can take a game in Philly, LA Will take at least 2.

You know that you watch them and you start to hear the Rocky theme in the background and you start to believe...... could it be? Hanger-On Registered: Jun. 01 | Bottom line is the Sixers aren't getting blown out ala San Antonio, as all of the "experts" had predicted. They've made it interesting. I'm proud to be a Sixers fan, regardless of the outcome of the remainder of the series. Game 1 showed they can beat the Lakers in their own house. I certainly didn't expect them to win both games at the Staples Center. But, Game 2 was still a great game. If not for their foul shooting, the Sixers would have taken that one too. Iverson was smiling because he knows his team can take the Lakers at the F.U. Center. The Sixers will win at least two of the three games played in Philly.

O&A Board Regular Registered: Dec. 00 | Would I rather see Philly win? Yes. But thats only because I want to see the Lakers lose more than Philly win. But regardless of who I think is going to win, I call them like I see them, and I dont see Philly winning 2 out of 3 here, but I could be wrong, and Philly did Impress me the first 2 games. But Im sure the Lakers took them for granted a bit, thinking this will be a cakewalk and they already have the Championship won. Now the Lakers know they are in for a fight, and they are going to step up.
