I asked the grand slam question to a buddy of mine who is a huge baseball fan. As his favorite team is the Orioles, he says the 4th is Chris Hoiles.

The Montreal AAA were the first Stanly Cup Champions, But the Montreal Wanderes were the first Stanly Cup champions to etch the names of the team and players into the cup. It is inscribed on the inside of the bowl.

Oh I actually didn't see the original question...I
thought you wanted to know which team had their
name engraved on it first...my bad

The Montreal Wanderers were also the first team to
lose the Cup, literally...they left it at the
photographer's studio and forgot about it. It was
found several months later being used as a flower
pot...silly Canadians :p
