Whoever did this, they're terrorists. Not even a country, just a faction. You can't really declare war on a faction like a country - cause you beat up the country while you beat up the faction, and they don't like that.. Not to mention, WORLD WAR 3 would require other countries wanting to get on the TERRORISTS' side. Superpower countries vs. superpower countries. Not World vs. some nutcase towelheads. Edit: oops. Update: On Channel 7, they said that a 911 operator in Penn. got a phone call from some people trapped in the rubble at the WTC, but they don't know if it is a legitimate call. When we figure out conclusively that Bin Ladin was involved(and lets be honest, he did it), President Bush just told Afghaistan and other Arab nations not to get in the fucking way or well go through you to get em. Another update: They are thinking of putting air marshalls on flights now....I know when I go to FL in January I would feel a lot better knowing that there is a nice big scary military guy on there ready to protect me. My mother said that on Atlantic Avenue in Brooklyn today that a large portion of the Arab community was celebrating in the streets. We have to remember not to jump to conclusions as to who did this. I know in previous posts I said we should bomb the Middle East, but in actuality, we all thought that Arabs had something to do with Oklahoma City, when in actuality it was Timothy McVeigh. Just because a certain group is happy that something happened, doesn't mean they did it. Of course, it doesn't mean they are innocent. | ||||

Real Freaky feeling - I live near Kennedy Airport. After coming home, it was quieter than normal for obvious reasons. About 10 minutes after the president went on air (8:40 or so), I hear REALLY loud airplane noise - kinda like when Concorde's flew over, but longer. Musta been USAF. Really unnerved me for a couple of moments. Not sure where they were going, and I couldn't see them, but aircraft noise is distinctive. | Psychopath Registered: Sep. 01 | Well I'm off to bed to have nightmares about planes crashing into buildings, people jumping out of the WTC and the WTC crashing to the ground. Somehow I need to understand how people can hate others they don't know so much that they would do something like this. I wish I had never had my children because I can live with the thought of something happening to me, but I can't live with the thought of someone hurting them. They are small, sweet and totally innocent. They do not hate anyone or anything. I can also say that I have never hated someone I have not met nor someone who has never done something to me or someone I love. How the fuck do people get this way? How the fuck can someone do this? I have always believed that if I sat down with a Palestinian (as an example) and we talked, we would ultimately see that we basically want the same things in life, and I've always believed that ultimately they too would look at the children and think that nothing in the world could be better than peace and safety for our children. I know that is not the case, but yet I can't understand it and I certainly cannot make sense out of it. It's an eerie night. Usually there are constantly planes flying overhead, but tonight it's quiet. I'm scared and I'm sad, and I can't imagine what the people who are directly affected must be going through. Again, please know that you're all in my thoughts. I wish I could offer more than that. | ||||
