| O&A Board Regular Registered: Jul. 01 | The Sims, by far is my addiction. Still. I'm getting Hot Date soon, and I can't wait to waste hours and hours on that. [Straw -- nice name for the striip club :P] But ever since my brother hooked up the old NES system at his apartment, Zelda has become an obsession once again. Contra, Blades of Steel, Super Mario Brothers, Castlevania, the list goes on. Its just like the old days. Wolfenstein and Doom were cool coz of the blowing shit to pieces part, I miss those games. My brothers were so bored with it, they started using WolfEdit to make the soldiers into people we didn't like. Made the game more fulfilling. Any NHL games rock! I can play those for hours w/ the boys. And the players are always hot, mm gotta love those hockey players. uhhmm. hmmm. I think that's it. EDIT* Crazy Taxi! | Psychopath Registered: Jun. 01 | I'm surprised no one had a Colecovision? Those controllers SUCKED with their little whacked out knob on the end of them. I once got so good at Donkey Kong that I rolled the score three times in one sitting. Major pins and needles of the ass for that one. Then there was the "Super Action Controller" for Coleco where there was a huge thing that fit over your hand with trigger buttons for each finger and a joystick on top with the numeric keypad and speed ball deal. As I was a little kid, I found football was a little unruly to play with that thing. Shelle brings back fond memories of Blades of Steel (we always loved that when you started the game you got the voice saying 'Blades of Steel'). Konami also made Double Dribble which came out at the same time which was good. My current gaming addiction though can definitely be brought back to EA's Sega Genesis release of NHL Hockey (back in 91 or 92 or so?). Damn - greatest games of all time. Way too much fun. So many nights where I played that with my buddies well into the early morning or even between classes. Ahhh, the memories. And just think, Norton has none of these fond memories himself, only streams of urine flowing down his face. 'Tis a shame! | Hanger-On Registered: Nov. 01 | I thought about it some more. What games of my friends got me so hooked on the C=64 that I had to go out and buy one... The original wolfenstein. That old 2d game. That game was great! I loved that game. My friend Glenn had it and it got me hooked. Also the Zork text adventure games. Then the Hitchikers guide to the galaxy. Those were the type of games I couldn't get on the atari 2600. I also thought about the PS1... Ever play that game Tenchu Stealth Assasin? I LOVED that game. it was more than just killing stuff but moving about stealthily... that was a fun game and one I will probably want to buy again some day. -Script | ||||
