While the rest of the mods on here have calmed down over the last few months, one (Me!) has risen to the top of his class - with banning, and holding grudges, and being a whiney little BITCH (Me, Buttmunch!!!11!). | Psychopath Registered: May. 02 | If you take a look at the ratings for WJFK and all of the shows, and the books for the last year, you see that since adding O&A to the mix that Howard's numbers really started to tank. He has never been the darling of DC radio like he is in NY or other cities, but he's usually been in the top three - I've always thought the insanely long commercial breaks kill him. My drive into work is short enough that if Stern goes to a commercial break when I get in the car, I might not hear him at all that day (I know - many on this board are boo-hooing). Anyway, when you look at the numbers you see that the Oldies Station has really taken off - did O&A turn off so many people 25 an older that they would be forced to tune into OLDIES? And did those people who replaced WJFK with Big 100 on the dial start forgetting to tune into Stern?? (Ok...it's called grasping...I know...God, radio sucks in this town - I miss the OLD HFS!) Meaty Breasted - Yeah, I've noticed the Junks use "Shake it up." They also have been using a lot of Nortonism lately; they've said on the air that Cameron and Cakes love Norton. I wouldn't be surprised to see them (The Junkies) try out in the 7pm spot at WNEW (moving R&F to daytime). It would be good for the junks, and they (WNEW) know it would piss D&M off. Dino_D - Actually agree with you about haning out with rednecks not being that bad, and the quality of life in the DC area - although the traffic almost ruins it (not that it's great anywhere anymore). Not sure who you've been hanging out with in DC, though; I know many people who can throw down when they need to. Slapnut - You are a fucking retard...when quoting DC crime rates, read a newspaper that isn't 10 years old. Killboy - Why the hell should Ari be banned? For expressing an opinion? It's typical around here - a lot of big talk, but once someone says something that at all threatens the bubble then it's all about "banning." Kid Icarus - Someone else I can agree with - Elliot does suck...god, I hear that laugh and I want to smash the radio. The only thing decent he does is show some love for the Caps. Actually, D&M don't mention Elliot at all; they try to ignore him. He has mentioned them, and sucked up to them - well, about a year or two ago. That's stopped. Now that he's riding high, he doesn't have to - maybe they shouldn't have snubbed him back then? S/H/I/T/ | ||||
