| Yeah Rog2K, I can't wait to see them at ozzfest, along with Linkin Park and Mudvayne .... but the rst of the ticket is pretty weak though (disturbed isn't too bad either). Did you see Slipknot at Tattoo the Earth last summer????

| Mobyworm,
I totally get the point of what you are saying. Everyone has to pay the bills, and the radio stations can't do that with a market that consists of a small group of people.
Anyway, I tend to mumble when I talk, so I wouldn't be very good in radio. I'd rather support other forms of music by making annoying music and supporting the bands that make annoying music.
Laterz,
Josh

| yeah drkn2forget ...... I agree!!!! I saw marilyn manson at the ozzfest a few years ago ('96) and he suuuuuuuucked big time. Pantera on the other hand was AWESOME, as always. Slipknot will be the REAL headliner this year. But c'mon, Crazytown and PapaRoach??? I just don't get it. '96 was probably the best with FF, Machine Head, Powerman 5000, and Pantera!!! ... at least that is all I can remember off hand. Last years was pretty good as well!!!

| Rigid....that 96 show was one of the best shows I've ever been to....The crowd was reall y great and Pantera and Sabbath really kicked ass....I wish some other bands (especially Metallica) would bring back that kind of energy to their shows

Yeah ... especially when 10,000 or so people (myself included) stormed the field when Pantera took the stage and the NJ State Police RAN for cover!!!!

| I sometimes think that innovative radio-friendly music died with Kurt Cobain and the "grunge" section in Bloomingdales....

| I hate to say it,and i'm really inviting a bashing, but i never saw what the hell was so great about nirvana. They played their instruments mediocrely,at best, and the lyrics were total gibberish.

| Zootybang : no I agree with you ... Nirvana was a GOOD band ... but the media made them great and rock music was so desperate for an identity ..... that's what they got!!!!

| Definately. If WSOU could somehow move up from the dungeon of college radio, they'd find a HUGE fan base.Regular radio makes me violently angry.I just cant imagine being one of the sheep that just accept the shit that is force fed to them on regular radio.

| zooty,
I wasn't too jazzed about nevermind either. If
you aren't crazy about Nirvana's 'nevermind'
album, go check out 'bleach' or 'blew'. They
had more eye of the tiger on those two
releases. Also check out older Mudhoney,
Tad, Malfunkshun, U-men, and, Melvins. They
can give you more of an insight to the roots
that genre.
Also, for all of you looking for college stations
to check out here are a few more:
103.3-Princeton, 91.1 WFMU, 88.9 Monmouth
Univ., and 88.7 WRSU (Rutgers).
A lot of you may know about these already, but
some may not.
