I laugh when I hear old bits, in fact I tape the show for long drives just because I can't stand the music out there. The "character's line" is a reference to Don Imus, who can say all sorts of racist stuff because it is the "character" saying it and not him. Greaseman is rarely on; Ant is doing it mostly for the DC crowd as a joke. O&A - much wilder and natural than D&M, who seem to be more of the old, prepared bits type. Personally, I don't mind the R&F & D&M move, because If I leave D&M on as background noise I can tolerate it, and hopefully now there will be a lot more AFRO shows; if O&A are rolling, R&F won't mind if they go over into their show. | O&A Board Regular Registered: Jan. 01 | I have lived in Northern Virginia. I can attest to the fact that D&M are concidered funny down there. It wont last. I moved back to Jersey over 3 years ago. When D&M got tape delayed to here, there show had changed. It was tired. D&M didn't have the edge they used to have. Also, we were comparing them to O&A which isn't good for D&M. I think they will be out of NY, or make significant changes to their show, within 1 year. They used to be edgy. Now it's like watching 2 snails fuck. Mike oxbig, you might relate to this. The sports junkies were better than D&M. Ferrel on the bench was better than D&M. I used to really think D&M were better than Stern. Now both those shows are just tired. Sorry but that's the way I see it.  It looks just like a TeleFunken U-47, you'll love it. With leather? | ||||

They would talk about Don's family and what they did yesterday. Or they would call one of the drones that work at WJFK and ask them about their life. Don and Mike wouldnt do a bit till after 4 or 5 o'clock either. Strip trivia, Low budget Jeopardy and others wouldnt occur till the middle of the show. The only bit theyd do early would be the secret sound. Ive never heard the Greaseman and I found the bit yesterday to be hsyterical. Thats just me I guess. | ||||
