| Psychopath Registered: Feb. 01  | I truly believe that Stern has a personal vendetta against our boys, not to mention, a serious superiority complex-i.e., *radio edit* . I do not believe that anyone but Stern would have had the clout (such as, with advertisers, and ratings) to push that decision through. I tuned in to K-Cock this A.M., and it was an older show. Jackie was there, and it made such a difference. It was actually listenable and entertaining. I still have much respect for Fred and Robin both, I believe that they're just continuing to collect their nice paychecks. I find them to be funny even on the current travesty of a show. They are just riding on a losing train and should hop the F off at the nearest convenient station. | O&A Board Regular Registered: Oct. 00 | No, it won't die, and I don't see why it has to. I am sick of the same old stuff. There is nothing new and exciting on in the am and no one has been able to throw Stern off his throne yet. I was happy that his ratings went down a bit a couple ratings books ago. Now on to the Sports Guys. Recently, the sports guys have been on Ron and Fez' sac and they are totally showing their desparation to not get fired. But I hope they do get fired, even though Blaine cracks me up. We need something new in the mornings! We need something that you actually look forward to listening to first thing in the mornings. My f-ing CD player broke so I've been listening to radio on the way to and from work. 102.7 sucks besides O&A. I turned on Don & Mike and they spent a half hour changing the ring tones on their cell phones on the air! THen you have the sports guys who are trying to get the O&A audience by adding a 'sports slut'..and chick and R&F are just as bad..IMHO O&A would be much better off either A) somewhere else (CC,etc) or B) convincing WNEW to change formats.. On the topic of stern - He hasn't been good since his movie. I turned him on the other day and he has AJ whoever the F and donald trump on talking about some slut they both F'ed..it was the worst radio this side of the morning zoo.. JS | ||||

| O&A Board Regular Registered: Oct. 00 | Well, even though Stern has done nothing new since 1986, it has become cool to like him. Back when he was first starting out and getting big ratings, it was taboo to like him. Now celebrities even listen to him, just because Howard's a mainstream radio personality. There are two things people like 1) what everyone else around them likes and 2) the same old thing. O&A would rather be on the same station with him, although he is a pompus prick. | Psychopath Registered: Oct. 00 | For anyone that says there's nothing else but stern to listen to in the morning....Here's a little trick i learned.. they make these little 7 inch disks, I'm not sure what they're called, but they're shiney and make a rainbow on one side, and when u put them in a player, they make music, and thus then you have something to listen to. I don't even tune in, cuz Stern's faded shadow of his former glorious self just depresses the Hell out of me. Since I can't afford the "Magic Box" that plays "Those pretty rainbow shiny discs" (LMAO Gonzo Radio), I just listen to 1010WINS during my AM commute. | Hanger-On Registered: Jun. 01 | Stern's whole philosophy is honesty. His last good show was when he announced he and allison were legally separated. I was depressed for days and lost my faith in relationships. Then i too k areality check and realized i was putting way too much stock in some dee jay. He isn't honest anymore. I understand that he is under legal constrictions and can no longer be as candid about his personal life as he once. It has really been detrimental to the show. Unfortunately I no longer have O & A to help me through the day. I live in the 2nd biggest market and I'm forced to listen to the most boring radio show ever. Leykis.
