| Hanger-On Registered: Jan. 70 | Roger, perhaps, just perhaps, I wasn't talking about people from New York, but rather New Jersey. In Jersey, it is common to say "draw", no "uh". I agree that saying "drawuh" is an accent, but insist that "draw" is incorrect. The bottom line is it's just semantics, and the whole point of this thread was talking about things people say, that piss you off. If it's me that pisses you off, then I'm flattered. I didn't know you cared. :)

They're ok sometimes, but when people use them in virtually every sentence, it pisses me off. Just say the fucking words! Speaking isn't too taxing a task!
