Bceuase of that fact, to get milk and bread every day, you must drive somehwere to get it, instead of walk down the street. Cities are designed more and more for us to need a car, and less for closer community interaction. There is a need for that childs toy by children, since they need to be entertained. There is a need for cell phone, because now people need to talk to soneone all the time. there is a need for cars because twons are no longer walkable anymore. Ask yourself something? Why is it that 99% of the companies that have existed are no longer operating? If they can force the consumer to buy their product, why isn't every company ever founded still in the marketplace, and why isn't every product ever designed and produced on the shelves? Before you get into this argument, you should do a little thinking about how consumer wants drive an economy. Go read The Hidden Order by David Friedman and see if you can come up with a workable and practical basis for your argument.  I believe in the Faith... that can save me. It should be given away not paid for - ugly fat women wearing 2 piece bikini's and think they look good in them - the lack of nudity on TV and last but not least - the inability to find MAGNUM sized condoms. Their views are usually unfounded and make about as much sense as that book the monks ghostwrote for that god dude.
