As for the heel heat/ hatred heat argument, just think back to Invasion when the WWF guys were all supposed to be good guys. He still got booed by the whole arena, even when playing face. It's kinda like Hogan getting cheered as a heel. Think about guys like Kurt Angle, who can make the crowd love or hate them in a wink of an eye. Or Booker T last week or so, when he seemed to be going face against Angle. A good performer can sway an audience with his performance, X Pac could kill Bin Laden and he'd still suck.
