To answer the Don Mattingly question, his first Yankee Jersey had # 46 on it and he wore it in the outfield. The first game he started at first base, he committed 2 errors.

Now for a question...perhaps the most obscure one I've ever heard:

What college roommates, who played different sports, went on to play professionally, and become MVPs?
Hint #1: One was a season MVP, the other was MVP of a league championship.
Hint #2: The two players share a name...but one's first name is the other's last name.

Thanks spe5150, now I'm tortured.

"My Turn In The Barrel": The first Super Bowl TD was scored by Green Bay's Max McGee....anyone who used to listen to Mike & the Dog before O&A came to town knows that!

Coincidentally, that's where my question comes from. Let me know when/if you give and I'll post the answer.

As for the Restaurant, Danyeko's place is called Mezzanote, it's on Bloomfield Ave in Caldwell.

Question: College roommates who went on to be MVP's in their respective sports (one a season MVP, the other MVP of league championchip):
Fred Lynn, 1975 AL MVP - Boston Red Sox.
Lynn Swann, MVP Super Bowl X (1976) - Pittsburgh Steelers.
They were roommates at USC.

I think the most Grand Slams in a year was Griffey, Jr...same season he tied Mattingly's record for HR's in consecutive games, etc. Don't hold me to that, though.

I think it was 1/2, but it might have been something else humorous like 7/8 (that is the midget who took one at-bat for the St. Louis Browns in the 50's, right?)
