| Hanger-On Registered: Jan. 70 | Afrika i agree with you i was talking more to avitar and i may have bunched you in cause i too love this place. And it got my temper going plus i had a few in me at that point. i said i agree that the board has gone down but i do not agree that it has declined to the point where we have to go to defcon 5 over here now. I said that we are at about 85% level to what we were at. As for cluster i am gonna say this now many of the strikes that are given out are given out in jest i mean look at like buttmunch, fez and tequila they all have about 40,000 strikes combined. I gave anthony a strike even like that was real i even gave Raven 2 and 1/2 strikes. It is mostly a joke. As far as the status's go i will say about 75% of them are custom out of the ones i give out. The rest are well deserved, and you may see one that is wrong but you may have missed what that person did. I agree 100% though that many people either gave up on posting or don't post out of the fear that they will get bashed for it. But i will say one thing and someone else said it earlier that most of the bashing comes from mid level and newbie memebers. I see it and most of the time i will step in and say that it's a good post. Most of these people either "mod off" or they are looking for attention. I have been here a while and trust me when i say, i have heard "the boards done" about 5 times already. Yet it is still here. We have things happen and we lose members then we rebuild. Like i said we lose vets but then newbies become vets. Like i said i remember when Fez first joined and did the opie doing dougnuts pic and opie in his underwear sigs and he was pretty new. Now fez is a superstar vet. I remember when afrika first joined, i remember when i joined and gooch and corpse we were all newbiws and now we are vets and we raplaced the people who left. Let's all band together then and try to fix things and make them right then. But i agree cluster and what i meant earlier by bitching is. hell it is easy to point out the bad and the wrong. But wouldn't those energies be put forth to the betterment of the board be more fulfilling? I agree that we had to all agree that we are not at peak level here. But i don't want it to seem like we are dying ova here now, cause we are far from it. But we do need to keep this place fun to come to. I say we need more sex posts in off topic, more show related posts in General discussion, better fights in fight club, more vicious FU's in fu forum, definetly more wow's in the wow forum, music is fine, so if wrestling and sports. But one other problem is a lot of posts that are too opinionated and posts that are more of a statement and agreement to the statement instead of either talking about it or arguin the point. You know what i mean posts like original post: statement reply: dude i agree reply: i wanted to say that reply: right on the money This is a problem and a major one cause people and many people just add useless drivel we don't need yes men here we need people who will inject their opinions into the posts to keep things going. and the first wiseass to reply I agree gonzo doesnt get to touch my schmekel... Let's get some more threads like this one going. Some intelligent conversation. Yeah, it's a lot to ask, but most of us have it in us. Gonzo, you're excused, because you're just fucked up. ;) Like I said before, I don't mean to say the board is coming to an end, only that it's experiencing the longest decline I've seen in my short time here.
