I'm not voting for anyone, as you have noticed I post in both Chat threads, cause I like both teams and have followed both since I became a hockey fan. Both these teams have a rich history, it'll be nice to see them have a classic battle again :) | ||||

Let's hope this stays with us. We got buffalo next, they won tonight I think like 8-0. Should be interesting... | O&A Board Regular Registered: Dec. 00 | Now thats how you play some hockey boys. I loved looking at the faces of Islander fans. They were so into this. That 11-1-1-1 record was nice, but what they live for is to beat the Rangers. And not only did we beat, we destroyed them. It dont get any better than that. Now hopefully this team can sustain the momentum and keep playing like this. Only negative spot is that they are still having defensive troubles. 39 shots on goal is way too much, and they are having difficulty clearing the puck out of the zone. Richter was outstanding tonight, and Thank God he played and not Blackburn or it might have been a different story tonight. | ||||

Anyway, I was very impressed with the win tonight. Thats the difference between this team and the previous years' teams. They didnt get bullied around in Buffalo and stood up to them. Then again its much easier heading into Buffalo these days when Dominik Hasek is nowhere to be found. One thing I was dissapointed about though, is that nobody went after Varada at the end of the game. We need to stick up for Eric, and you know that Varada intentionally used the butt end of the stick to nail Lindros in the face. Varada is probably the dirtiest player in the game, and Somebody should have sent him a message. Lindros should have finished him off after he grabbed him and threw him down, he held off from going after him. He already took the penalty, might as well pounded the fucker in the process. Anyway we come home to face the Canadiens tomorrow and this streak is good and all, but no let downs. Must beat the Canadiens tomorrow, or good wins like this mean nothing. oh yeah and by the way Psycho Bitch, remember early in this thread we had that long argument over the Flyers not beating Columbus. And I was stating how the Flyers should be ashamed of themselves for not getting those points, and you were defending Columbus as a bonifide team,and Those arent easy points. Well Columbus won tonight to improve their record to........ 3-10-4! Your right, the Flyers shouldnt be looking back at those points missed. Beating Buffalo was great last night, especially since it seems they had our number in the past. But no Hasek will change all that lol. GO RANGERS!! Fan of the Giants and the Rangers. | O&A Board Regular Registered: Aug. 01 | good game played by the rangers, but they should come out focused on the game against the canadiens. They surprised everyone by beating the isles. Don't count them out, but if the Rangers can play well defensively and score a couple goals, they'll be on a 5 game win streak :) | ||||
