| Psychopath Registered: Jun. 01 | I recently posted a one-time only pic that resulted in its deletion and two, TWO strikes against me. I thought the board would get a kick out of it, but evidently someone either took offense or thought I was trying to start some shit. I never know what I can, and cannot post here! I'm always on the defensive, and worried about every little thing I do. It's a bit insane. I've never been a contributor to a board before that used scare tactics to control its members. Either way, I'd still like to remain a member, so if someone could please adopt my dumb-ass quick before I'm permanently banned for God knows what, I'd appreciate it. | Hanger-On Registered: Jul. 01 | I am definitely a newbie as far as posting, but I have been lurking on this board for the better part of two years now so I do think I know it pretty well. I have never had the desire to post basically because I never felt like I had much to say and the fear of being slammed and tooled on was just overwhelming. I would just like to relate an observation - this may not be the correct forum but I figured being a "newbie" this was probably as good a place as any rather than starting a new thread. I've read all the rules and FAQs and everthing else this board has to offer and I've sat back watching this board progress over two years and in my opinion - there are just too many people trying to be Mods. I am so tired of reading threads of people not tooling on someone but rather "acting like a Mod" and offering Mod-like services. This clutters the board and is just plain frustrating to read. The Mods do a good job - let them respond - let them provide the link to the adoption agency - let them offer advice. That's what they're here for. Everyone else should just spend their time and posts doing something more constructive - like enjoying what this fine board has to offer. Lots of great areas to post, lots of great topics, lots of fun to be had. But for God's sake - if your not a Mod, don't act like one. You know the saying "too many cooks" etc. Well in this case too many wanna-be Mods are cluttering the board. It has been especially noticable now with syndication because there are so many more people to tool on. Please understand I am not slamming anyone in particular this is just a general comment based on my observations. I enjoy coming to this board to read and search for topics, and thought the time was finally right for my first post: a humble, frustrated observation. With that said...I leave myself open to adoption and look forward to posting in the future. Long time lurker...first time poster (that old gag) | ||||
