Basically, it's 5 factions; the UFC, Socailist C-Bloc, the Hoochie Lovin Jew Crew, the C-Blockers, and the S.T.O.N.E.R.-Swillers. The latter is indifferent and their only concern is getting trashed. Adoption is just an available opportunity...not a requirement. It was created to compensate for the general idiot factor of some new users who felt the need to post topics inappropriate to the forum or the board itself. There are also a number of people who just don't get this board...having a "mentor" of sorts really helped out a bunch of people pick up the nuances of board "life". As for factions, that's just for fun. The WWF has them, why not us? Again, you don't HAVE to be a part of any of them, and you will not be barred from any oa.com events because of it (unless you're a complete ass or you've been banned.) The only membership you need to post is your oa.com one. However, and I do think this will happen sometime down the line...these factions might start throwing thier own get togethers....in which case you might want to look into it. We're trying to establish a nationwide community here will all of our syndicated brethren...think about it...oa.com parties across the nation....like little fight clubs (tm).
